Beautiful location on the beach near tons of restaurants

Gorgeous setting looking over the ocean. Huge rooms with large bathrooms (always love two sinks!) Lanai’s include nice mix of furniture. Our room was updated and very clean. The buildings are all connected so easy to get around. Large pool area with plenty of chairs and a nice poolside bar and cafe for breakfast/lunch. Pool is secured from the beach, but a few steps and you’re on the beach which was very under-used so great for families. There is a park across the street with daily food trucks which was fun to try for the nights we didn’t want eat out. Across from the park is a strip mall with a grocery store and all the necessities. We love Kaanapali for many reasons but one is the number of excellent restaurants. Free underground parking ins a rarity! Staff was helpful with questions. Really enjoyed our stay.

    Nice activities

The pool is cold. heater has not been fixed. Room door lock did not work, had to be replaced. stairs have been under construction since we were here in June 2004. The beach is too steep. Enjoyed sunset cruise and whales. Tight parking. Park on level B. Enjoyed the activities we booked through the concierge.

    Disappointing customer service and management

Disappointing Stay and Poor Accountability I recently stayed here and had an issue with the toilet in my room, which disrupted my sleep for two nights. I reported it to the property management, and they assured me it would be fixed. However, when I returned, the issue was still unresolved. Despite my follow-up, they insisted nothing was wrong, even though the problem clearly persisted. This lack of accountability and poor attention to guest concerns made for an incredibly frustrating experience. The manager there didn’t feel appropriate compensation for this terrible experience was warranted. With so many options in the area, I’d recommend choosing a place that actually maintains their rooms and delivers on their promises and has management that actually cares about the customer experience

    Will not be coming back

We booked four nights using the Hilton Honors website. We had a roomy one bedroom condo with a good view of the pool and bay. The property is in a great location with a strip mall across the street containing a grocery and several restaurants. There is no restaurant onsite, but the condos have kitchens for preparing your own meals. It would have been a perfect stay except for a lack of maintenance. One of the two elevators in our tower was out of service during our entire stay. The pool heater was not working and the water was too cold for swimming. Another guest said it had been out of service for three weeks. Of course, there were the annoying calls trying to get us to sit through a timeshare presentation, so we unplugged the phones. I will be returning to Lahaina, but will stay at a different property.

    Another resort ruined by Hilton

Ever since Hilton took over Diamond, the facility has gone down hill. Hilton is investing very little in upkeep. The stairs and walkway have been under construction since June 2024, and virtually nothing has been done. Hilton has yet to restore fill restaurant service, citing COVID as their excuse. They did of course manage to raise food/drink prices across the board. New this trip, they have advised that the pool heater has been out for weeks, with no clear day as to when it will be repaired. Fortunately, they have managed to keep all the timeshare sales people busy approaching guests! Overall, this used to be a great family resort. Sadly, no longer the case.
