Highly Recommended. All praise, all gratitude. A perfect experience at a lovely location with an even lovelier staff.
I had an incredible stay at Kauai Shores Hotel. •The Room? Comfortable, clean, spacious, with air conditioning available that offered a temperature controlled climate in my room. Some of the amenities featured in my room included: a genuinely comfortable bed with plenty of fluffy pillows, a coffee maker, a mini fridge, a TV, seating with a table, and toiletries. •The Pool? Accompanied by a spa/ hot tub, there was plenty of seating available and the surrounding environment of the pool offered an atmosphere that was both fun and lively while maintaining a delightfully relaxing and calming atmosphere. • The beach? Paradise. Close by in a great location, easily accessible, and the views were so breathtakingly lovely that made walking away from the beach a challenging decision. (I even extended my trip and my stay by a couple of nights, simply because I just needed a little more time to soak in the beauty of it all!). •The on-site restaurant and bar offered a variety of quality food items with breakfast, lunch, happy hour, and dinner menus available; they even had a menu available for children. Plenty of choices, plenty of variety (each menu also offered vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options). Located perfectly by the beach (with indoor, outdoor, and bar seating available), every meal I ate at Lava Lava Beach Club was accompanied by views of the waves and of mountains that felt too good to be true. Cocktails and mocktails featured classic and uniquely creative options. •The Staff? Amazing. I can’t sing enough positive praises about each person I interacted with. From the front desk staff to the hospitality crew at the restaurant, everyone was so great. Specifically, I’d like to mention how helpful and friendly Novella, Genelle, & Rea were at the front desk, and how friendly, personable, and knowledgeable Brian, James, Veronica, & Lainey at the restaurant were. Everyone was lovely, professional, and polite, but all of these individuals genuinely enhanced my experience by going above and beyond and being endlessly personable and kind. They all had a largely positive impact on my stay and full vacation experience as a solo traveler; I felt so very warmly welcomed by each person mentioned and loved my first visit to Kauai. I eagerly look forward to being a returning guest to the Kauai Shores Hotel. Mahalo!

Coconut Coast Gem
Really liked everything about this hotel -friendly staff and a very nice vibe overall. Uodated rooms with a lots of thoughtful and practical design choices. Linens and beds very nice. Had a Garden Room, which is very quiet, but next time would choose a Pool View room or kitchenette. LOVED the free morning yoga. Beach on property is NOT swimmable (nice to sit on), but wonderful Lydgate Beach is nearby. The Country Market next door is a real bonus for quick, affordable eats and coffee. Central location to explore both sides of island and main town, Lihue ( Costco, Target). Doesn’t have a beach resort (go to Poipu if you want that) or upscale feel, but a very unpretentious old-school Hawaii ‘Aloha’ spirit. I will be back.

Little hidden gem!
Nice room and service. Loved the entertainment and beach. It was beautiful and we plan to use this hotel again. Would recommend to anyone. We could walk up or down the beach and find new sites. The coconut groove offered great food, souvenirs and atmosphere.

Great location.
Hotel was great for the rooms and the restaurant. Only drawback was kids under 3 in diapers in hot tub and pool, also screaming kids playing at 7AM. Location was the best to explore the island close to good restaurants off resort and the beach at the hotel was great. Free Yoga every morning and Kauai Coffee in the room, also room service every day. Free Valet and bikes too.

Angela is awesome
Angela at check in was amazing. Everyone at the resort were so friendly and always smiling. Makes you feel relaxed and well taken care of. The views are beautiful and quiet. It rained a few days but we were able to get out and explore the island.
