    Incredible service

Resort grounds were beautiful. Views from just. Standard room was amazing. The one notable thing about this resort, even above the incredible views and grounds was the service. I’ve been all over the world and have stayed anywhere from home stays to luxury hotels and I’ve never had service like this. Everyone goes out of their way to remember your name and even often the room number as well. Everyone from the front desk to the grounds keeping team said hello in a genuinely friendly manner. Everyone was also wonderfully accommodating and sweet to our little kids. My kids also loved the kids club and asked to go there everyday. They kids also surprisingly loved the bar Library by the Sea. They looked forward everyday to hang out there at happy hour and read the books. My son even mentioned after we were back home that he was still thinking about one of the stories we had read. The one thing I would suggest to the hotel is to have access to the kids club included in the resort fee. Even a space for kids and parents to hang out with activities would be great! Overall one of the best stays I’ve had at and incredible resort.

    Unbeatable Getaway at the Seafire

Just returned from a lovely extended girls weekend at the Seafire. We couldn’t have enjoyed the resort more. Even though it rained for the first 2 1/2 days of our stay, the resort adapted quickly and put together ‘rainy’ day activities such as rum tastings, indoor yoga and live music in the lobby. Every single staff person is friendly and goes out of their way to be genuinely helpful. Special shout out to Kavita at the Front Desk, Cristian for his outstanding concierge services and Marion who manned the omelet station like a food network star and makes perfect egg white creations. The rooms are spacious with nice modern upgrades. The Library is also a must, as it offers the unbeatable blend of cocktail mixology, music, tasty bites and friendly staff. We met multiple guests who had previously stayed at both the Ritz Carlton and Seafire and preferred Seafire hands down. As a Kimpton Inner Circle and Diamond Elite member, I went in with fairly high standards and this stay managed to exceed my expectations. Will definitely be back.

    Nicest hotel I’ve stayed at

Great stay at the Kimpton with our family of 4, including two kids 9 and 12. The service was really nice, providing towels at the front door prior to excursions and offering to take them when you returned. Will set up your chair for you at the pool or beach with towels. Flag service was amazing to be able to order drinks and food. Frozen grapes and ice pops were a nice treat. We didn’t have one bad encounter with any staff the whole week. Housekeeping was great they kept the room so clean and left cookies daily. Coccoloba was yummy and they have great pina coladas. It was a great way to start our vacation. We took out the kayaks, tricycle and paddelboards one day which was fun. And they have a great raft in the ocean for all to use plus individual ones which I loved. It would have been helpful if someone would carry those to the pool or beach for you though as they were heavy and I was carrying for my kids as well. They provided free beach toys upon request. A hammock or some swing chairs would be a nice added touch to the property. They had a nice fire pit but it wasn’t on for some reason. Ave and Avecita were good and convenient for breakfast and dinner as was the little pantry for a quick breakfast though options somewhat limited. The fitness center was temporarily relocated to one of the bungalows with limited machines etc. They did move it back the last day we were there and it was nice. I feel like we would have used it more if it had been in its usual spot but it gave me an excuse to skip it! A heads up about the relocation from the hotel would have been nice though. I did take one yoga class while there but it was relocated to the ballroom due to weather. While I appreciated them not cancelling all together, I wish they would have put a little more prep work into it. The sound system wasn’t hooked up so no music, the lights were bright, and there were remnants of the last party on the floor as it hadn’t been vacuumed yet. The instructor was good though. A bit bummed I didn’t get to do the outdoor paddle board yoga or spin due to weather so will have to wait till next time. The hotel did try to create some rainy activity schedules due to storm which I thought was nice but nothing really interesting. The one pool table is really the only thing to entertain an older kid indoors. I was a bit disappointed to find out upon arrival that there were no kids activities due to it being slow season. I was bummed bc that was important to me in selecting this hotel. My kids enjoyed bracelet making, movie night, s’mores on the beach, fire dancer etc at the Westin last time so I wanted them to have that available. I feel the hotel should make it known that it’s only available certain months. They did have a great splash pad though so it made up for it a bit and really nice shady lounge areas around it. The kids camp area was a little depressing. The social hour was great every night. Enjoyed grabbing a glass of wine before sunset and the kids liked the fruit snacks. The free coffee and cocoa was super nice in the morning as well. I appreciated that while the resort fee is high, you do receive nice amenities like that as well never having to buy water bottles etc. I didn’t feel nickeled and dimed. I do wish they wouldn’t have so many chairs reserved cabanas though. We had obstructed views or limited chair options on some of the busier days. And while I realize that it’s not needed most of the time, a heater for the pool would be nice as it was very cold after some rainy days so I was unable to swim. The room was super spacious and comfortable. I was pleasantly surprised how good the north sound view was and loved sitting on the balcony to watch the sunrise on the comfy couch out there. We took a golf cart over to indigo the last day for breakfast. I didn’t really care for the food and service compared to Ave. we also had to sit inside due to flies and mosquitoes. They have a 10th floor restaurant which we heard was good but unfortunately they don’t open till 4pm and the manager did not want to take us up just to see the view which was a bummer. Hotel was very convenient to turtle center and other restaurants though we did have a car. The library bar is pretty cool. We stopped at the Ritz as I debated staying there. It has a more upscale feel in my opinion but not in a good way. Doesn’t feel like an island hotel and many older people of retirement age. It also feels very large so lots of walking. I’m not sure I’m curious enough to try it next time. Another family we met split their time and said they preferred the Ritz but not sure I’d agree, perhaps different experience staying there vs visiting. We visited Beaches in Turks and Caicos last year. While that was all inclusive we only paid a little more for this vacation and it was by far a much better value and experience. All in all a great visit and we are likely to return for our next visit to Cayman. Thank you Kimpton for a great vacation!

    Can’t imagine a better 4 nights!

We had an amazing 4 night stay at the Kimpton!! The rooms were large, clean and had great views from the balcony. They give you PATH water bottles that you can refill during your stay. We ate at Ave, Avecita, and did taco tuesday at Coccoloba - I am not a person who remembers food but it was so good that I’m sure I will remember these meals! We also got drinks one night at the Library at the Sea which was also memorable because of the menu maybe more than the drinks - each drink is associated with a movie, book, or piece of art and there’s an elaborate back story. The concierge, Amanda, was also extremely helpful and booked us a couple of off-site restaurants and our Stingray City tour (do that!) When there was a mix-up with one of the reservations, the Seafire went way out of their way to make things right and ensure we had an amazing eating experience back at the hotel. Amanda was also very helpful in walking us through the island map so we knew where to stop and what to do when we drove around the island. My sister and I did yoga every morning and it was as low-key or as intense as you want it to be which was great for us. We even did the paddle board yoga which was tricky when my board ended up facing the opposite direction from the instructor. LOL! The beach was soft and the water was warm and not choppy at all. We ordered food and drink using the flag system and the servers were very attentive. The food came out hot and the drinks were perfect. I highly recommend this resort and can’t wait to go back!
