    Honeymoon stay 10/10

We stayed at Las Brisas Ixtapa in November 2024 for our honeymoon! We had a junior suite which was perfect - bed was very comfy (on the soft side) and the AC was amazing. Great Bluetooth speaker, TV cast-ready, bathroom was updated and comfortable. It really did look how the pictures online did. The pools were great and although there were lots of waves at the beach it was a blast just standing in them! Lots of beach chairs and umbrellas. There were three restaurants open - Mexican, Italian and fancier outdoors - in addition to the breakfast/dinner buffet and the lunch buffet & beach snack house. All of the food was good - lots of fresh options, cold salads, meat options and easy Mexican fare, as well as classics like hot dogs and burgers. Yes, there is an amazing omelet bar! Drinks were good (I don’t drink much and I know they were on the weaker side but that was perfect for me!!) Ixtapa is only a short walk away and there is a fun souvenir market right as you enter town. The staff were so helpful and courteous, we really enjoyed our stay. Lots of local tourists and families were there which I think indicates quality and trust. We picked this place for the amazing brutalist architecture as well as the jungle backdrop - and it looked as good as we had hoped! The hammock on our patio was great for naps, we did not try the jacuzzi tub but would suggest asking them to clean out the jets ahead of time (the tub itself was spotless) just in case they haven’t been used in some time. There was some bat guano every morning outside but it was always cleaned up by the time we were back from breakfast. I should also note there are lots of (beautiful!) stairs to get around the property, so if you are not good with stairs this is maybe not the place for you? But honestly, there were tons of people with little kids, elderly people and they were fine! There was also a delightful scent being diffused in the main thoroughfares, and maybe also scented toilet paper/similarly scented handsoaps? I genuinely liked this aspect of the stay! We travelled with Air Canada and the shuttle service and Luis were awesome. I can easily recommend this hotel.

    Reliably good

My second visit and husband's third to this impressive resort with amazing views, good food and, most of all, GREAT STAFF. Special thanks to: the housekeepers who serviced our room #1436, the Solarium restaurant staff Eneyda, Yurani and Edilia (the Solarium has the best buffet food), all the beach servers and the wonderful and helpful front desk staff. The food and service at the Portofino and El Mexicano restaurants is also top-notch. It's unfortunate that the beach elevator is out of service but we realize there is a global problem with elevator maintenance these days.

Visit the spa and ask for Crisol

This is a review for the Spa which is 5 stars. The hotel itself is dated and needs some TLC, but the oceanfront views and private beach make up for any deficiencies in upkeep. Therapist Crisol gave 90 minutes of excellent massage. Highly recommended.

    Fantastic vacation at Las Brisas!

Book the beach club to enjoy quiet breakfasts and evening appetizers. We enjoyed it! We experienced excellent service throughout. A huge shout out to Victor and Ciro at the adults pool Javier and Selene at the pool buffet. If you’re looking for a place to rest and relax this is an excellent resort. No loud music and security deals with issues promptly, which I appreciated. Beach is beautiful! We will be back! Thank you Las Brisas! ❤️🏝️

Amazing spa experience, the rest of the hotel, not so much!

Celica and all the spa staff is amazing! Celica performed a deep tissue massage and was unreal! Highly recommended!!! I used to come here as a kid and it was very exclusive and nice. The whole hotel has gone down in every aspect big time! My best experience so far has been at the spa by far!!!
