Feb 22, 2025An Incredible Stay!!
We just had the most incredible vacation in Belize and at Mahogany Bay!! Overall, the accommodations were fantastic, the private beach club was stunning, the excursions to Xunantunich, cave tubing, Ho Chan, Caye Culker were all beyond memorable….but it was truly the people we met and the staff at the hotel that took the whole trip to the next level. I am sure I will miss a few, but Kenroy, Alan, Princess, Malique, Gilmer, Elias, Alex and the boat captains were all exceptionally kind, attentive and helpful. They went above and beyond to help our family enjoy our stay. The concierge staff was also incredibly helpful in organizing so much of our trip prior to arrival (thank you Trisha!!) and while at the resort (and thank you Lovenia!!). They had fantastic suggestions and always pointed us in the right direction making everything super easy. We cannot thank everyone enough and can’t wait to come back!!

Beautiful getaway spot with fantastic service!!
Just got back from Mahogany Bay last week, what a FANTASTIC place to vacation! Fabulous food, unbelizable(sorry) service and a relaxing, beautiful place to stay. The staff at the hotel were great, including Elias poolside and Princess at the Resort Beach Club who went above and beyond every day! LOVED the Rum and Bean coffee shop on site, and numerous restaurants all over San Pedro easily accessible by golf cart! I highly recommend this place for a great relaxing getaway!!

Feb 18, 2025Sometimes reviews scare you, we were pleasantly surprised!
The reviews really scared us.. but we were pleasantly surprised! You will need a golf cart to get around easily. Suggest renting outside of the property. Our room was clean and well maintained. No issues with screens on the windows, shower issues or beds. All were working, clean and in order. The mosquitos on the island are terrible at night but if you plan and apply repellent you'll be ok. Never had issues with mosquitos in the room. Our room had absolutely no view, we had a deck but it was on the back, up the stairs and the couch was too low to see outside. The Pool area is nice. Signed up for the beach club boat ride a day prior and had no trouble getting on the first boat out (10am). Highly suggest going early to secure a good spot. Ended up getting two chairs with umbrella and stayed much longer that day than anticipated. Again, the reviews of the beach club scared us. Perhaps it wasn't a crowded day but it was delightful. Water is beautiful and you can walk out in ankle/waste deep water for hundreds of yards. The pricing of the food/drink weren't unreasonable although we did learn that some folks brought their own coolers which we would do if going back. The boat ride to/from was easy and not long. There is free coffee in the main building in the morning. Some of the bars/restaurants on property aren't associated with the resort and terribly expensive. We preferred to go outside and found many great local spots. There is a lot of construction but it didn't really bother us in the smaller "Hilton" rooms section, it seems this entire project will be under construction for years...

Amazing hospitality
This was our second stay at Mahogany Bay and the staff is the best whether at the restaurant or, private beach or pool. Miguel C. was our waiter in the restaurant and like our first visit his service and attention to detail was top tier. We are looking forward to another stay next year.
