We were two couples who had decided to come to the Meliá Punta Cana Adults The 4 of us have travelled many times. We have been to Punta Cana before and thought this might be the same! We stayed at the Ambar! Which we thought was very good! When we arrived January 27 ! Ffirst our rooms were not ready! Fine we went had lunch! Told to come back in an hour and they will be ready! They were not ready for another 2 hours after went went back to the reception area! We ended up sitting in the reception area! Being asked many time to Level up! We said after waiting for so long we would have leveled up for $500 not the $800 offered after reading on Trip Advisor that is was it worth it! When we finally get our rooms I was disappointed how dated they were. We were in block 4 Beachside! Room 420 and our friends were 409! They said the same thing about the rooms, dated! We were greeted after 4 day Yes with a chocolate surprise, our friend were not! When I went down there room there neighbour had received there welcome girt! Dealing with receptionist is impossible! It took 3 days to deal with this! The breakfast buffet was good. Close to the rooms and easy to get to! Dinner, now with only 3 to choose fro I think is a little cheap! The first 3 night we had to have the buffet which was ok but got very redundant! Every other hotel I have been to had way many more restaurants to attend! We ended up going to the Mediterranean restaurant 3 times and the Vietnamese restaurant 2 times! We went to the Beachside Grill, which we thought was absolutely horrible. The two restaurants that we went to multiple times were good! Your system for reservation is redundant, to have to be up by 8:00am to get reservations! Really! Your beach is beautiful, but we had service in the 10 days we were there only twice! I have never had that any other resort we have been at! Which to me makes your resort a 2.5-3 star at best! Also, having to get up at 6-6:30 to reserve chairs by the beach! Crazy, also the beach chairs which everyone who sat in the grey chairs said they were very very uncomfortable! We pulled the blue ones over and security did not like us doing that! Too bad for our back we’re taking the blue ones!

Amazing resort! Rooms are very nice, beach and pool areas are wonderful, food is exquisite ! Karen, took very good care of us! If I had to add a complaint it would be getting chairs at pool and sometimes beach area. Although if you ask the lifeguards will help you locate what you need at the beach. Definitely worth looking into.

Loved melia punta cana
We stayed at Melia punta cana for 9 nights feb/mar our concierge oliver was great he booked our restaurant, arranged for us to have late checkout, it was my birthday while we was their he decorated our room with balloons and arranged for birthday cake at the restaurant ,we would also like to thank Daniel, all the staff were fantastic, we upgraded to level and in our options it was worth ever penny,our room.0706 was keep spotless our entire stay ,the amazing servers on the beach especially the lady ,moses at the level beach bar was great I even saw him checking wriste bands ,I had previously noticed the other bar tender serving non level guests, I also noticed people on the beds that were not level,I did see level write bands not the same as ours ,so I think they may have been from caribe ,I think it would be a good idea for level guests to have a different towels colour all in all we had a great stay and would return, the only thing we was disappointed with the sellers from melia paradiso, trying to sell you holiday ,we had just come back from our massage and was thinking of booking another When,we thought we was talking to a concierge and we was asking if their were any special offers ,he said yes you. Can have another massage free ,then it turned out to be sighing up to melia for 3 years ,to be honest we did think about doing it until they started telling us lies

Will keep coming back
Our concierge Juan A is fantastic. He was attentive, always responded, and went above and beyond for our needs. Jean the driver was also fantastic. Isaura was an awesome server. She was pleasant and attentive. We have specific needs and Isaura and Juan went above what is required. It was very appreciated.

The most relaxing vacation I have experienced.
Absolutely amazing resort. Booking the levels is a must definitely worth the upgrade. Our concierge Jenfry De Jesus was the best. He was very attentive, caring and respectful. He made our stay positive, uplifting and relaxing. The room was clean, comfortable and spacious. There is plenty of good food options for everyone I was not disappointed the food was amazing. The pool is huge, and well taken care of with a swim up bar. The beach is well stocked with day beds, palapa's and bar service. I would put this resort on the top of the list as the best all around with amenities and service. Thank you to all levels staff for making my vacation a wonderful experience.
