Jan 22, 2025Exceptional Staff at Melia Punta Cana Beach Wellness
The staff at the Melia was very friendly and accommodating. Our concierge Daniel was wonderful. He was very organized, empathetic and was able to multi-task. I know he had quite a few people to attend to but he made contact with us everyday first thing in the morning as well as sending us the resorts activities for the day and our dinner reservations. He would find us at least twice a day to make sure everything was going well for us. He put our needs first! Daniel made our trip very enjoyable!

We enjoyed our 4 nights at the beautiful resort. Oliver was attentive and very eager to respond to our requests and needs. The trolley was easy to access and the restaurants were all lovely. We stayed in a LEVEL room and truly enjoyed the 2nd floor facilities and roof top bar.

The staff, the service, the food all phenomenal would go here again and highly recommend it. Night life is fun and new every night.

Amazing would come back again
I honestly have no complaints about this hotel I would 100% come back again. The only comment I do have was there was one point that our mini bar wasn’t restocked for 3 days straight other than that it would have been perfect

Great value!!
We just returned from a 2 week stay at the resort. We upgraded to the Level experience which provided us with our own concierge. The hotel was a great value for the money. It is a beautiful resort. The grounds are luscious with many palm trees and gardens and ponds. It is a bit of a walk from the beach to the main lobby building but they have trams that run all day and evening. The guest suites are very nice and spacious with marble floors and a deck and a stocked mini refrigerator. There are 4 pools including 1 for level guests only and one that is very large. We had a selection of 6 restaurants (2 buffet-1 that is on the beach and open only for lunch and dinner). The A la cart restaurants included an Asian, Mediterranean, Caribbean and American. All the restaurants were good. I am a vegetarian and the were sufficient choices at each restaurant. The buffets (even though I am not a buffet fan) pleasantly surprised me. There were numerous choices on the buffets. The evening buffet also had speciality nights (Mexican, Asian, international, American). We were very happy with the accommodations, pools, room. What really stood out was the excellent service provided at all levels housekeeping, servers and most of all our concierge Alejandro Estrella. He checked in with us every day to provide an update of activities and made all of our reservations. He truly went above and beyond IN FACT WE CELEBRATED MY BIRTHDAY WHILE WE WERE THERE. HE ARRANGED TO HAVE A CAKE AND THE RESTAURANT staff sang to me. He also decorated our room with flowers, a bottle of Champaign and a cake was waiting in our room then we returned. The only criticisms I have are 1. Water pressure in the guest room was not great and at time the water was only lukewarm 2. On most days guests would go to the pool area and mark chairs with towels before the pool even opened at 7am then not show up until late afternoon or not at all. Management addressed this 3 different times while we were there (to the point of removing towels and bags if they were unoccupied more than 1.25 hours). 3. Some of the furniture in the guest rooms is worn. The bathroom vanity was rusted and worn… the handle fell off when I tried to open it. 4. We considered this trip to also be a golf trip. Guests of Melia receive a 50% discount at the adjoining golf course Cocotal. The hotel was not able to make golf reservations for us so we had to this on our own by phone or on line. The on line system did not work the entire time we were there and rarely were we able to reach anyone when we tried to call. We finally resorted to making tee times each time we golfed. Additionally the price for 18 holes was $102 with the discount (meaning over $200 regular price. The course was in just so so condition and definitely not worth the price.
