Not great
Would not go back. The walls are paper thin. When my neighbors alarm went off in the morning next door it woke me up. No pool chairs because they let people leave towels all day and no beach chairs to rent because there are very few. They charge both a resort fee and a valet fee daily which are over $100 extra total daily. Not worth it. Moved part way through trip

Will stay elsewhere next time
Great historical hotel in a great location, unfortunately the noise in the room at night was unacceptable due to loud music and crowds, The pool chairs around the pool were also the worst and most uncomfortable I have ever seen at any resort, that's if you could get one there did not seem to be any preference given to hotel guest's for tables at the beach bar either, my other issue is the hotel over charged our card on file by hundreds of dollars and when we checked out they said that should be refunded but it can take a while, that is unacceptable to take more money than we had even spent before we even checked out.

Hawaii’s finest hotel and team!
Phenomenal property. Exceptional execution by all team members from valet, to bell hop, cultural ambassador, front desk staff, food and beverage team, breakfast restaurant, pool bar, pool staff, housekeeping, security, maintenance, general manager, EVERYONE! Special kudos to the ownership group, Kyo-ya hotels, for maintaining and investing in this historical gem on Waikiki. We’ve been coming here for almost 12 years now and it’s truly one of our favorite hotels in the world. There is not enough space in this review to write all of the wonderful names of the team members who have made this property our home away from home. We know who you are and I’m quite sure you know who this is! :) “Malasadas for everyone!” See you soon! Mahalo!

Rubbish!
The room was small and pokey with takeaway cardboard mugs for tea and coffee. There were no small gestures of welcome. The dining room only served 5 course dinners. Load music was played in the reception area until 10 at night. The double glazing was poor and road noise intrusive. Swimming pool was small for the size of the hotel and number of guests. Nothing in the fridge no milk not even bottled water. A biscuit would have been nice!

Awesome stay!!! Highly recommend!! Great staff!
We stayed at the Moana for my daughter in laws business meetings! From the first moment we fell in love with this beautiful historic hotel! At check in we were treated so well by a gentleman ( missed getting his name)! He was very helpful in securing us a room with a balcony because we had a 17 month old with us. We ate at all the various restaurants on the property and they were all wonderful and very helpful with a toddler! The pool was wonderful as was the beach! We spent a lot of time at both. The location can’t be beat! We loved walking to the stores sometimes and other times to the beach! We enjoyed the zoo, the splash pad in front of Target, in addition to pool/beach time! Maintenance and housekeeping were equally kind and incredibly helpful! I look forward to returning to this hotel !!
