    Rancid food

    I’ve been to 5 all inclusives, and this one has the worst food by far. A solid 3/10, including the ‘speciality’ restaurants which you are also given 2 specialty restaurants for a 4 night stay. Also never heard of an all inclusive where you’re paying $300 a night where the room service is not included. Lastly, beware of the time share scam. When you’re shown your room, there’s a worker that will give you an explanation of the resort, and will try to force you into a breakfast timeshare reservation. Ridiculous. The only positive is the location proximity to Xcarat.

    Great trip to celebrate my spouses birthday. Weather was great temps in the mid 80's Fahrenheit only a couple of random afternoon showers.

    Occidental at Xcaret 2025

    Occidental at Xcaret is hands down one of the best vacations we've ever had! The wildlife, access to Xcaret park next door, and ability to snorkle in the lagoon make this place amazing. The great price is the cherry on top! Rooms and food could be better, but we didn't have any issue and always found something to eat. I'd highly recommend this resort to anyone! We can't wait to go back!

    Stay

    Not a great stay, food was poor quality. We all became sick after eating more than once. We ended up leaving the resort to eat multiple times. The water was yellow in the bathroom, faucets leaked. We normally stay at hotel xcaret mexico, so much better that it’s not even a comparison. Even the coffee is of poor quality.

    You should convert one of the tennis courts to a pickleball court. Pickleball is the fastest growing sport in North America.
