I read many reviews before booking—most were positive, with a few negative ones. My honest feedback is that the resort is overall beautiful and well maintained. Traveling as a Black couple from America, we had an amazing experience. There were a few minor hiccups at the beginning, but they were resolved. I would definitely return.

Best resort ever
I really enjoyed Occidental Punta Cana, it was an amazing experience. The resort is beautiful, well organized, and the staff provides excellent service from start to finish. The food is varied and delicious, the common areas are very well maintained, and the beach is absolutely stunning. I

Great service with a smile
Amazing service with Carlos Aleanader Jerry and Deysi ata the las Cayenas Bar at Occidental Punta Cana. What a great time!

The hotel was at the end of a sketchy road that gets super congested entering or leaving. Property its self is beautiful and well maintained. Pool areas and beach were nice but they could use more shaded areas and the loungers at the beach are in poor condition. Food was subpar and all 3 people in my party got sick (stomach issues). Entertainment in the evenings was ok - we really enjoyed the circus show and Michael Jackson show was also pretty cool. Housekeeping was exceptional.

Overall good
Food and hotel room to be improved. I got diarrhea and my kids got mosquito bites and flea bites in the room. My husband fell down in the pool and got scratches on his back bc it was very slippery. But overall the beach view was fabulous and the pool was so fun! We had a great time at Occidental!
