    Unsatisfied Birthday Trip

    Extremely disappointed paying out so much money for all inclusive holiday for my birthday. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone. We felt like everything was a con. They try to sell you a 25 year membership on your first morning there. They asked to go and get my credit card and to see it before they told us what they really wanted from us. Once they wasn’t getting any where they constantly sent over other workers to try and sell it to us. Then tried to sell us a 2 year membership. They still didn’t get anywhere and they ended it with why not? Just doesn’t make sense that whole thing. The “free shuttle bus” to the shops was a con. They first took us to a jewellery shop that had tequila tasting aswell. They give you a “free” pendant then try to sell you the necklace to go with it and all the other jewellery in there. Then off to a souvenir shop which they gave you a voucher for the restaurant inside there. The waiting time took do long that us and others left. Its misleading if we stayed the next part would’ve been a museum? Very confused by the whole thing. Started our holiday off on a negative impression. Breakfast waiting times each morning for eggs was 30 minutes. In all restaurants the food was extremely poor and bland. We ate out most nights which costs us alot. Would not recommend to anyone Spend a bit more money and go to a higher rated hotel.

    Book at Occidental Tucancun!

    We started our trip with a bit of a snag but they ended up fixing it and making sure the rest of our trip is fantastic. They truly do care about your experience at this resort. Jose is phenomenal and extremely accommodating to ensure we are happy. The main bartender Ismel was fantastic, fast and felt like he always remembered us. The entertainment at the pools and the theatre was also impressive. I highly recommend this resort.

    Nice but over priced

    One week in OT which is a good hotel, staff is friendly, room was nice with comfortable matress, good animation with party pool, two other quieter pools, choice of drinks is excellent, beach is nice. Négative points, no palapas on the beach for shade, a little low on chairs. I was NOT pleased with the buffet which is very small and has limited food for a hotel of this price, waiting line to enter at times. Restaurant a la carte were good.

    Fun in the sun !

    Enjoyed our stay, would have liked to see drink service/ waiters come around at pool side, as there was always a line up at the pool side bar. But the bartenders were fabulous…Bathrooms at poolside need to be upgraded, dark in there and old doors that didn’t shut properly
