Overall a very nice stay
I was worried to come here because of the awful reviews… but my experience proves people just like to complain. I’m a female solo traveler who has been all over the world at high end resorts. Is this a 5 star spot? No. But overall I had a very enjoyable stay with some minor annoyances. First, I was asked to upgrade to privilege and told I would get a free massage. The information was incorrect and I was issued a refund. The things that annoyed me about the regular rooms were the old Mr coffee maker and lack of robe and slippers. Not with an upgrade charge, but should be a part of what’s included in a five star resort. I also found it annoying that I was one guest and given two beds. The food has been great..much better than a lot of other all inclusive places I have been to. I went to both buffets for breakfasts, tried the marlin and jerk hut for lunch, and really enjoyed the Italian place and the restaurants on the adults only side for dinners. It’s all inclusive… don’t expect a steakhouse at the Ritz. The service was always friendly and they always asked if I needed anything. I did feel sad for the beach attendant who asked me if I had a snack… but I always have snacks and she was extremely grateful for the rice cakes I gave her. This should be looked at. There were great bands at night..but one night there was a dj I believe and it was way too loud on the fifth floor as I tried to sleep. No issues with anything g working in my room….and I used the gym every day and found it to have everything I could need. Overall my stay was peaceful and lovely…. I never felt unsafe or at risk and the is a priority for me. Ps- the cups are really small to cut back on waste …so bring your own if you don’t want to keep getting up.

Nice resort. Empty promises.
Don't waste your time or money. I'll start with the positive. It's close to the airport. The resort is clean. The rooms are nice. The pool is huge and clean. The beach is beautiful. The staff could use some hospitality training. We paid extra for the "privilege" room with the "extra" amenities; a complete waste of money! During our 5 day stay, the mini bar was restocked one time with "premium liquor" (mini jigger bottles). We had to call for the service and request numerous times and still didn't get the service. Cabana's at the pool and beach were never available for the "privilege" guest and it was a fight each day to find beach lounge chairs, even when going early in the morning to try to reserve one. Four of the five days we were there, no towels were available at the beach. They ran out! Premium liquors were not available in the Privilege lounges as advertised. We had dinner reservations one evening. It was raining. A cleaning lady told us there were umbrellas in our closet, there were not. She offered to go get us some. I chose to call the front desk to request them. After waiting 45 minutes, we left, in the rain for dinner. We met a gentlemen walking towards our room with an umbrella. Turns out, he was headed to our room, with ONE umbrella!! I'm really not a hard person to please, However, I do expect the services that I paid extra to have. I politely requested these services many times and was not accomodated. To top it all off, I spoke with management a few times about everything I reviewed. Upon checkout, I was asked to fill out a complaint form so corporate to reach out and resolve these issues. I even filled out the email survey they sent. To date (a month after our stay) no one has contacted me. It's sad. This was a nice resort and we would have re-booked had things been different or our issued were addressed. I will give props to our Butler and the cleaning staff. They were amazing and went out of their way to make our stay as enjoyable as they could.
