Feb 21, 2025Great all inclusive resort!
Went to this hotel for a weeklong stay with family. Due to air airline mixup, we ended up staying at two different sections of the hotel : Eden and Daisy and our room in Eden was in a better shape than the Daisy one. The good : - The buffet restaurant is a good one, the best I had so far in terms of food quality and diversity, some stations change daily and everyone could find something of their liking - Restaurant system, it’s interesting that you get access to quite a few “a la carte” restaurants without reservations. I must say we’re all picky eaters so some restaurants were a bit out of bounds for us but we did get to sample some of them and they were all pretty good. Obviously it’s all inclusive stuff and never as good a real restaurants but they were good enough. -The pool by the beach, I loved that and it was one of the main reasons for us to pick this hotel. It’s the best of both worlds for us as you can have your feet in the sand, hear the waves and dip in the pool. In fact, the pool variety is awesome there’s an activity pool which is beach style (you can sit on one end and there a pool bar at the other), a kids pool with nice slides and some more quiet ones (premium) -The grounds are very well cared for. The hotel is around 10 years old so vegetation is nice and everything is still pretty nice although some wear is starting to show. There are nice animals around that you get to see, just like the Princess hotels next door. -the staff, everyone we encountered no matter what their job was was very helpful and friendly, they all made our vacation very nice The less good : -The rooms are the same age as the hotel and while it’s nice to have a modern hotel, 10 years old is pretty old for a room so wear shows up in places… our daisy room felt more worn than the Eden one and also cheaper. -some weird mixups, our daisy room which is a kid room had no kid amenity, while we had the daisy stuff on our Eden room.. (snacks, kid shampoo, etc) - the beach isn’t the best, the princess hotels next door have a much better beach and even there’s it’s not the best so it’s more of a pool lovers hotel - entertainment is a hit or miss. Some shows (fire, neon) are very good while other dance shows made by in house staff are very “meh” For the price I’d recommend this hotel, just make sure that you get the right suv-section that suits your needs and travelling style, as a misfit could ruin your experience.

Came for a wedding party, wasn't able to make my flight but the hotel said they would hold my room which was great to hear however when I arrived they said my room was no longer available (no refund) and we had to pay extra just so that I could stay in my friends room. Unrelated, but nearly everyone in our group also got sick here towards the end of our stay.

We stayed at Ocean Riviera Paradise from Feb 14-19, 2025. We were so disappointed in this stay, we are big travelers and have been to many all inclusive resorts and never had such awful service. We felt so much discrimination and racism from staff. They would blatantly skip us even though we were next in line, there was this really sweet Caucasian lady that noticed the bartender skipped my husband and said "excuse me he was next" which was really thoughtful of her and made us feel validated because at first we were giving staff the benefit of the doubt. This continued throughout our entire stay. We had mold in our room in the washroom which isn't what we expected provided the star rating we had reviewed prior to booking. The resort itself (restaurants and amenities) are nice. However if you look on the roof of route 66 there's patches of mold. Not sure why the staff were so rude and discriminated so much, we've stayed at the resort next door (Grand Sunset Princess) and had a lovely experience the staff were so kind and welcoming we were so shocked that just next door this is what our experience was. I'd recommend saving your money and booking something else, especially if you're not Caucasian. Also room service only allows you to order once per day and only one dish per person, which was ok for us but just a heads up for people that go to all inclusive not knowing this and assuming they can order multiple times. They had a nice kids waterpark and activities but again for the awful rude service, you can find something just as great with nice service and staff.

A nice time!
We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel! It was a fantastic environment and the wildlife that the guests got to interact with was great. I was a participant at the Eden Pool playing a game called crazy game with Benjamin! It was fun and the highlight was hearing him say “ohh man” every time the guests missed the game. Even on the days we just walked past, it was great to hear “ohh man”.

Great experiences, food and entertainment
We had a great time at Ocean Riviera Paradise. Benjamin from the experience team did a fantastic job keeping our family entertained throughout the holiday. There was so much to do, from Water Polo and kayaking to bowling and a family game lounge.
