We recently stayed at Paradisus Playa del Carmen for the second time, and overall, it was a great experience. We specifically chose Paradisus again because we had Melia points from our visit last year and wanted to return for the proximity to the Xcaret parks (we visited two this trip). If we hadn’t had the credit, we likely wouldn’t have returned, but we’re glad we did—the food and service remained consistently good. The grounds are absolutely beautiful, with lots of nature and a distinct Mexico vibe. The property is very well maintained and the restaurants are all gorgeous. Our kids (ages 9, 10, and 13) enjoyed the AquaZone waterpark and having the freedom to explore without it feeling overwhelming. There are some shows at night, but not much in terms of entertainment or nightlife, so the evenings are on the quieter side, attracting a lot of families with young children. If you’re looking for a resort with constant activities and a lively nightlife, this probably isn’t the best fit. For our family, three nights was perfect, and then we moved on to another hotel in Cancun. Overall, it’s a very good value for the price, especially for families looking for a well-kept, beautiful resort with great food and a relaxed atmosphere.

Excelente
Buffet Hadar, Sandy, Shaira and Francisco went above and beyond the service expectations. Examples, I asked why they didn’t have beans for a Mexican buffet, it turns out I had missed them, but without me asking she brought me some. The next morning they had our coffee and juice ready at the table after we had gotten our food. Always making sure we were satisfied and happy. Thank you for such great service. Great time for our four year old, water areas were suitable, surprised that there wasn't a playground, but seemed to be fine for our energetic one. Big thanks to Yessenia, Yadira, Carlota, Lety for taking great care of our toddler who just wanted to go back to Kidsdom every day!

Multigenerational stay was a success
The Paradisus hotel is clean and safe and the staff are very accommodating. Grisey at Celsius was a delight. Valentina, Eli, and Angel at Rest Naos were attentive and helpful. The lifeguards were very focused. And the beach activities team put safety first for all to have a good time sailing. I would stay here again!
