Irene was amazing and very attentive. We had all we needed and more. Highly recommend having an experience with her. We had food and alcohol delivered and she took our photos at the end of the day. She was so nice and very friendly. The cabana was the perfect relaxing end to our week.

Mar 23, 2025Wouldn’t recommend
The hotel is conveniently located to the Liberia airport, about a 30-40min taxi ride. The hotel room was spacious and clean but the air conditioning doesn’t get as cold as I prefer to sleep. Our room was in a building close to the lobby and could hear karaoke and entertainment until 9-10pm each night. The resort grounds are nice and well maintained. Beautiful beach view and black sand beach. The pool area was nice and the pool activities were fun and entertaining. The buffet food was average at best. The alcoholic drink choices are limited and have items on the menu that they don’t actually carry (ex. grapefruit juice/soda). The dinner reservation system they have in place is awful. Very dissatisfied with that portion. They advertise that you don’t need reservations on their website, but in fact you do. They state you cannot make the reservation in advance and that you will be able to make reservations on their app once you check in. This also wasn’t true for us, each night was booked at all of the restaurants for each night we were there (3 total). I checked immediately once checked in and each morning, afternoon, and evening and never was able to get a reservation. They stated that we could go to the restaurants as a “walk-in” but were told that we in fact could not, at each restaurant we went to. You do not get what you would expect for the price you pay. Would not recommend this to friends or family and will not be going to any other Planet Hollywood resort based on this experience.

My experience here with everything from check in to food was an absolute disaster. The food at every restaurant is disgusting except for the breakfast at the Tex-Mex place. My kid went to the bar and asked for 3 virgin Pina Coladas and the server said the blender was broken, literally 20 seconds later 5 teens (not black) showed up and he excitedly said sure coming right up. At check-in the guy who helped took 1 hour to get us set up with our bracelets for star class (premium) and the bracelets did not work to open our room. Not once did he cover the amenities for the resort, tell us what accommodations were available for the “premium” room that we paid for. Horrible horrible experience. The resort is also relatively far from the city

Friendly staff
Excellent hotel. Had a blast. Food great, staff really looked after you. Monkey feeding time was really special. Room was always looked after daily. Didn't feel the need to do star class. We had everything we needed. Pool party was good...all in all we had an amazing time and ignored the niggles.x

Mar 23, 2025Beautiful people in a beautiful country!
The people of Costa Rica are a ten out of ten and this resort staff is no exception. The facility is well maintained and well staffed. Nice variety of places to eat. You must be prepared for food delivery to take awhile at all of the PH restaurants, but if you need faster service the large and diverse buffet is always an excellent choice. We loved that the food is fresh, nothing looks or tastes processed and the fresh fruit is outstanding. Very couples or family friendly. Great base camp to take day trips from. Thanks everyone. Yeraly at the star pool and Inga at the Spa were very helpful as well as many staff I wish I remembered their names. Thanks again and we’ll be back to Costa Rica!
