DANGEROUS UNSAFE BUILDING
DANGEROUSLY UNMAINTAINED. DO NOT GO. Door locks in our room were broken and rusted out, we were locked out on the balcony until we could shout at other guests downstairs to send someone to open the door. Fire alarms were so old they were faded and painted over. I have stayed in many places all over the world of mixed quality but this was far beyond the level of safety that anyone should tolerate.

Great Day Pass!
We did the day pass and really enjoyed it. Hung out at the pool, they have a great menu for drinks, food and snacks. The pool is only a few steps from the beach, a really nice beach. Great service by the waiters, and enjoyed the banda music on the beach.

Great service but very noisy
We stayed at the resort for over a month and the service was excellent, starting with reservations, bell boy, maid, waiter’s at the poolside bar, beach waiter’s all did an excellent job. Great location, close to malecon, restaurants and bars. Resort is right on the beach which is very convenient. As far as the negative aspect it’s the NOISE!!! the bars nearby play “music” till 3-4 AM and I’m not exaggerating. Joe’s oyster bar to the north and three “new bars” to the south. Very very aggravating. Getting sleep is a major issue. We wish the resort could do something about this as we believe it hurts their business. The Banda bands and the vendor’s on the beach also tend to be quite annoying as there are many of them and it gets repetitive. Although that’s not an issue of the resort as they are all along the beach. I only gave it a four star because of the noise. That being said the service was excellent and we where treated great.

Love Mazatlán and the Banda culture but not until 3am next to my room!
Our room and facilities where great, the only problem was the loud noise from a discotheque outside next door until 3am in the morning , there are no regulations on how much time these places play their loud music, on top of it there was a few live roving brass bands music all along with the recorded music, it’s crazy.! I’m a musician by trade but this combination of “noise” could not make me sleep!

Short stay, but will return!
Arrived for my super-short stay of one night and was greeted first by a great bellboy, who took my bags as I exited my taxi. Juan Carlo waited while I checked in and then escorted me to my room with my bags. I arrived late afternoon for just the short stay, so went only to the beach and walked around there. Very lively and cheerful, with banda music playing for families. I sat at the beach grill, enjoying a sunset, Pacifico and some great food - shrimp ceviche, tortilla soup and guacamole - so amazing. The server, Charlie, was attentive, charming and very fast. The room was quite nice. Very clean, spacious and comfortable. The bed felt great, not too hard. The hotel wasn't noisy, but the street noise was - not the issue of the hotel. We are close to Valentino's Disco and the pulmonias, with music and lights, were constant up and down the street. I, personally, was not disturbed, as it is part of the culture in Mazatlan! Other quick notes - wifi worked great, shower and water pressure was super, A/C was consistent and staff were pleasant. A great choice for my next visit!
