Resort had it all, will be back!
DON'T LISTEN TO THE BAD REVIEWS!! Upon arrival we walked in and the lobby was modern and clean, the entertainment was going on. Had an easy check in and showed which way to room. We got there late at night so no bell boy but it was fine. (They do have them during the day we saw). Rooms were basic but had a balcony and that was nice. The fridge was stocked with water and pop/soda and beer. They also had a bottle dispenser and ice was just down from the room was an ice machine. Beds and pillows comfy and asked for another blanket and it came that day. I really liked that the A la Cartes were no reservation yes there were lines but they went through fast. They also had fans and air-conditioning where the food buffets were. The food was good and there was plenty to choose from. The bars were plenty and had everything you could want. Their Mango Marg was soooo yummy! They had so much to do at this resort lots of activities, Zumba, yoga, beach volleyball, and some pool activities too. towards the back of the resort they had a pool designated for their foam parties which were so fun. They had a white party, jungle party, neon and pink party with smoke and foam and crazy good club party music was so fun. They are on the resort but as an option for people if they don't want to can still enjoy their day. They have a disco which we went to once but was too Smokey and when you party at these parties you don't need a disco. The beach is lovely just gorgeous, waves were pretty high on days but still warm. It wasn't to hard to get a lounger if you look. Towel service was good, even in the rooms they would change the towels everyday that you wanted your room clean. I would definitely come back or try the sister hotel to still enjoy those parties. The only thing that we didn't like was the nightly entertainment starts at 930/10 pm and some nights you wanted them to be done around them. This resort had it all!

NEVER EVER!!! Horrible, disappointing and frustrating.
DO NOT COME TO THIS HOTEL EVER!!!! Disappointing and unpleasant for quite a bit of $$. Will never recommend this place to anyone. This is nowhere near a 5☆ resort. We are very frequent traveller's and have been around the world. Rooms: old, dated, broken furniture, cracked sinks, poorly functioning showers (no hot water), non-functional outlets. Phones don't work, so every time you need something, take a hike to the front desk, where you will be told off. Literally. No umbrellas either (I'm sorry, but even Cuban hotels have them). No warm blankets. We had to make quite an escalation to get them. Pools: dirty with balls of hair floating in the water and on the edge of the pool. Garbage not being cleaned up around the pools Towels: with the amount of pools and the area of the resourt, the towel stations are only located centrally. So you need to walk quite a bit to change them. Restaurant: A la carte are first come first serve. No reservations. So there are line ups for hours!!! The food is barely warm and somewhat edible. Not a 5☆ standard at all. Very poor drinks selections. Service: NONE!!! This word just describes it. Restaurants, pool, beach - no service. You are lucky to be seated. That's about it. Reception: this is a separate category. This is the highlight of the worst experience. Particularly Gicci and Yerome, who told us they couldn't care less that our children were freezing and couldn't sleep without blankets in a freezing cold room, because AC is also broken and just cooled the room like a fridge while being set to 23 C. We were told OFF!!! Very disappointing, frustrating and disgusting experience.

Just okay
I don't ever leave a review, never feel the need. I'm not at home cooking, cleaning or shoveling snow so I'll gladly take a beach anywhere. However, there is a need to discuss a few things for this being stated as a five-star resort. It was mediocre at best. Had a room mix up and that took two days to sort out. There is zero beach or poolside service, nobody taking drink orders, this is on you - something I would expect at a five star. Also, the vendors on the beach are constant, it never ends. My room fridge stopped getting stocked by day three and by day four I was hunting down water also as that stopped coming. The beds have no blankets, one thin sheet. We had to turn the air and fans off at night in order to sleep without being overly chilled, a blanket would have been ideal. The gym is awful, this is a big deal for me and it had two pieces of equipment and a few cardio machines. ZERO nighttime entertainment so if you're looking for something to do at night, it's definitely not here. There looked to be promises of a nighttime show, like a trapeze was set up on stage but nothing ever came of it. We had one show through the whole week so nighttime was rather boring, especially if you have kiddos. Overall wasn't a great resort but we made the best of it, kids had fun and we tried to ignore the things that very obviously stood out. I've been to five stars several times in Punta Cana and this just didn't quite hit the mark.

For the price Okay
All I can say that for the price it's okay. Who expects an exclusive Resort wont get it for the price. Sometimes I wonder what people expect if they dont want to spend money.... The sunbeds should be changed, they are out of date. My room was really okay and clean. Mini Bar should be filled up daily. It's all inclusive. Staff is really nice.

The RIU was amazing, the property was well kept pools were great and open 24rs, food was average. the rooms were its downfall, the tv wasn’t working well and drawers were off the track, very hard to open and close. the plugs/outlets didn’t work the bathroom had a sewage smell
