  Beautiful Resort

  We had a bit of an issue with our room when we arrived. However, with help from housekeeping we were moved to a much more acceptable room. The stay at the resort was perfect !

  We will come back again and again!

  We visited Riu Jalisco several years ago and liked it so much that we returned in February 2025. It is a safe area with miles of walkable, clean beaches. The ocean is clear and beautiful, with ample shade and lounge chairs. If beaches aren't your thing, two pools are well maintained and have a drink area with water and soft drinks or a full swim-up bar. The activities at the pool and the entertainment at night are enjoyable and well run. There is no pressure to participate. Even though there is a mixture of. ages of clients attending, if one doesn't want to go to one of the party nights, there are other places to hang out. The property is clean and well cared for as employees work around the clock. Our room was ample in size and was well-insulated from any noise, even though we were close to the entertainment area. This was a welcomed surprise! The check-in process was easy, and the front lobby staff was very accommodating in arranging taxis for people who wanted to go into town - which is a safe place to visit. The food was much better than some other all-inclusives we have visited. You don't need to get up early each day and make a reservation for one of the themed restaurants. There are buffets and full-service venues. Additionally, chips, hot dogs, and burgers are available in the pool/beach area when the other food options are not available. These are all cooked on-site and freshly made. The staff was extremely friendly. There is no need for us to go to any other hotel again. (Although staying here also grants one access to the Rui Palace, which is an easy walk down the beach) We want to return here every year.

  wonderful stay at Riu Jalisco

  great stay at PV Riu Jalisco. very day on the beach under the palms by the ocean. food was good with variety and availability. steak in steak house was little bit hard to chew on .. but steak is hit and miss anywhere you go. cannot get any better views from their during the sunset ! order platter for 2 - it was generous and tasty! rooms had little bit of smell, but we experienced it in other hotels, i guess this is what it is in warm climate. we spent our time out by the ocean anyways. Thank you for great vacation

  Better than expected.

  As frequent travellers to Riu Palace resorts, we were a bit apprehensive about booking a stay at the Riu Jalisco. Overall we were pleasantly surprised, as Riu has maintained their high level of service, food, entertainment, etc. at this resort. The Riu Jalisco doesn’t provide poolside service, not a big deal, as there are bars at both pools. The food at the Jalisco is good, however the buffet and restaurants at the Palace resorts are noticeably better. We ate at all of the Jalisco al a carte restaurants, and my advice to anyone would be to stick to the supper buffet. The Asian restaurant was terrible, and all of the others were just “ok”. Even though our preference will still be the Riu Palace resorts, I would certainly return to the Jalisco.

  A safe bet

  We stayed at Riu Jalisco the 2nd week of Feb 2025. We had downloaded the hotel app beforehand and this turned out to be very helpful and saved us a lot of time and hassle - I strongly encourage it. The resort has been running for a while and they have everything down to a science. It's clean and the food was very good. It is due for a 'face-lift' and I was told this was happening soon. Overall a safe bet - everything is ok, not necessarily great but satisfactory. There's not really anything to complain about. Our check-in was fast and our room was ready even though we were early. The room itself is nice - a bit small but ok. It was clean though and remained that way during our entire stay - housekeeping did an excellent job. What stood out for me was the customer service and the cleanliness - that was five star! Every single time I asked for something, it was done within 30 minutes. First we needed batteries for the room safe and maintenance was there in 25 minutes to replace the batteries. Later in the evening we made a request on the app for extra pillows and got them 15 minutes later. Throughout the week I requested coffee creamer for the room and received them in 15 minutes. A few days later I asked for coffee for the room machine and got it in 20 minutes. As for cleanliness - the beach/pool public restrooms were probably the cleanest I've ever experienced - there was ALWAYS an employee cleaning the washrooms - ALWAYS - non-stop every hour. Those restrooms get really gross due to people with sand and water dripping using the facilities but there was a lady continually cleaning both restrooms - I very much appreciated that. Lots of food choices and you don't need a reservation for à la carte restaurants - first come first served and if the restaurant is full they give you a pager so you can go enjoy a drink while waiting for your call-up. I enjoyed the asian restaurant very much (went twice) and the italian restaurant had the best salmon I have ever had (went twice). Overall I gave the resort a 4 star because it is a bit dated but I'm giving them a 5 star for customer service and cleanliness.
