I write this excluding everything thing about our booking agent, Sunwing, other than disastrous service there. Nuff said. RIU staff from check in to check out were outstanding. Each one (I am not going to try and name individuals because they all deserve our compliments, and likely a raise). The grounds are kept immaculate as was our room. It is a bit dated however everything worked, security was assured ( one day I thought I locked the safe and found our room not cleaned and a note advising us to secure our belongings we found our housekeeper, she was super nice and we thanked her). The buffet was really very good, lots of variety and kept well. We don’t do the Restaurants as I find booking is a pain. It seemed not any better here as we looked our first day and it said no availability at any of them and you can only look 48 hrs in advance. The Jerk hut on the beach was excellent! The beach is gorgeous with an easy walk in and a secure area for swimming. We saw fish, star fish, crabs and a couple of rays right in the swimming area. There were no hassles for lounges, sometimes shaded areas were at a premium but if we waited a bit we always found some. The usual characters roam the beach and for the most part are a delight and fun to engage with. Beach service for beverages was the best we have encountered. The pools have lots of lounges and other than the swim up bar(always packed while we were there) they were lightly used. We booked one excursion, glass bottom boat and snorkel, it was reasonable price and we enjoyed it. We booked at the beach with the resort. Mini bar was as advertised and filled daily. There is no ATM at the resort, local politics, but the concierge arranged a taxi down the street for 10us. Thanks again RIU staff. We would return for sure.

Amazing Holiday
We had the most wonderful 11 nights at this resort. The only slight issue was the air conditioning. Front desk responded quickly regarding this and were able to at least make our room comfortable until problem was completely resolved. Maintenance staff very friendly. All staff at this resort were friendly. The workers doing the outside paint on our block (6) were really friendly and put a smile on our face every day. Breakfast and lunch servers were amazing, set table with flowers and welcomed us in each day. Special thanks to Cia for learning to make Bob Marley Mimosa’s for us. Such an amazing feeling to be so cared for. Thank you also to Olicia and Williams who worked with Cia and were so welcoming. All 3 of them would bring our wine at lunch without us even asking. They even gave us a present when we left. Big thank you also to sisters, Nakeeda and Kerron in the evening buffet. They also knew which wines we liked and constantly made us feel special. They also gave us a leaving gift. The food in the buffet was exceptional in quality and choice. We ate at the Italian restaurant which was nice and steakhouse where my husband was provided a delicious vegetarian meal. Beverly on customer service was always helpful and very nice, as was Chris. The beach is beautiful and the sea warm. Even the vendors trying to sell us stuff on the beach were all great fun and once we'd said no a few times would just smile and acknowledge us. We know there are smoking limitations at this resort and in the country of Jamaica. It would be better if this was highlighted more often to make people more aware and take it more seriously. We noticed the beach to be more littered with cigarette nuts than it was 3 years ago. Such a shame to use this beautiful beach as an ashtray. This however did not ruin the wonderful time we had at this resort,

Not too big or crowded.
This resort is in a great beach location on Bloody Bay. Beach, staff , food and cleanliness are 1st class along with safety and a willingness to help you have the best stay. Relax or party or anything in between, this resort I love ❤️

Great place, the weather was amazing! First time to Jamaica, will definitely go back. I loved the beach and sun, my husband was needing more things to do during the day since he isn't really a beach person

A much needed relaxing vacation and it lived up to its potential. Wonderful service. Beautiful clean and safe beach. Plenty of food options.
