    Entertainment and music a let down

    Clean hotel with some lovely staff including Zahaire and Marlene who were absolutely lovely and particularly welcoming. Some of the other waiting staff not so friendly. Reception staff at the customer services desk could improve on their manner too. Music and entertainment was a let down, the dancers were great. Some advertised actibities such as the quiz did not go ahead at all and was replaced with dancing. There are times when no entertainment is provided at all, not even music when there is actibities such as the neon dance party at a neighbouring Riu. Hotel is very clean, nice food but little variation on a day to day basis. Beach is nice but limited and a distinct lack of reggae music despite the name. Would return but only if activities and music was to everyones tastes. Appears more aimed at younger people. On two.occasions there were provate birthday parties and their music was loud until.1am excluding other guest activities.

    Riu Reggae

    Truly enjoyed our time, but truthfully, the steakhouse needs a bit of a checking into - all of the steaks were about 1/4” thick, with great big chunks of fat. We just left. DelRoy at the margarita bar, is personable, and helpful. Dondre in the breakfast buffet was a bright spot in my morning Beaches however. Awful.

    Hit and miss

    We went to RR for The New Year and Birthday celebration for myself and wife. This was our second time around. Last visit was two years ago. The good:- 1. Entertainment is still Top Notch. ..Bubbles, Spade45, Bolt, Foot Feet keep the vibes going. 2. Front desk was helpful. 3. Room cleaning was good. 4. Bar and buffet service was good. The Disappointments:- 1. Food quality and selection seemed to have dropped. Very repetive. 2. Coconut guys were a little bit too begy, begy and had attitudes when not tipped. 3. Supposed to be Adults only resort but some of the young Americans that come down to party for the weekend need grow up. 4. Security needs to do their jobs. Probably won't be back but will recommend going forward because not everyone will feel the same. Wally & Marcia
