    Vacation March 2025

    The location is great only 15 minutes from the airport but the draw back is, you here the planes all day flying over the hotel. The hotel is good, restaurant and food was perfect except for the Italian restaurant. Service ok but expect to wait at your arrival to get your room. Cleaning of the room is also an issue. Takes a long time but the job is well done. The pools, bars and shows were great. Overall, very happy with our vacation.

    First time in Jamaica 😅

    Riu Reggae is a lively, adults-only all-inclusive resort in Montego Bay. The beach is beautiful, the pools and swim-up bars are great, and the staff is very friendly. Food is hit or miss. My room was clean, but the ceiling fan squeaked at night and the bed only had a sheet, no comforter, which made sleeping a bit less comfortable. Despite those small issues, the atmosphere was relaxed and social, perfect for couples or friends. Entertainment was fun without being overwhelming, and drinks were always flowing. Overall, it’s a solid choice if you’re looking for a laid-back, tropical getaway.

    My trip

    Reggae was a great location, when considering total value of cost, amenities, travel time, and location. Planes taking off overhead were a detraction, but that's what's going to happen when you're less than 10 minutes from the airport. We have stayed at other RIU properties and this one was the least upgrades/maintained. Not to say that it was bad - just not where the others were. This property/location also seemed to lean towards a more "party" oriented crowd. We did not have any issues and enjoyed the energy from the periphery. Other locations/properties tended to be more relaxed. Avoid the weekends if this is a concen. Weekdays were very relaxing and enjoyable.

    Would love to come back!!

    Loved our Riu Reggae experience! The hotel was very clean and it felt like the staff was constantly cleaning and maintaining. We had a group of 10 and we had the best time! The bartenders were all over it and you didn't wait hardly at all for a drink. Shots were made for us many times without ordering. They remembered your name and likes. Entertainment was good and that staff was wonderful. Especially Nahzie! He was the best and we'd all go back just to see him! Waterpark at neighbor resort was very fun! Recommend checking it out at some point. We play a lot of volleyball and there were very large boulders on the court so no diving going on! The Riu with the waterpark had a much better court to play on!

    RUI Reggae Food

    I was very impressed by my stay at RIU Reggae in Montego Bay. The staff were excellent and I felt like they were genuinely interested in making sure my stay was enjoyable. The food was exceptional. I went to the buffet for all meals and was impressed by the variety, quality and presentation of the food. Overall a great stay. The location was was good (close to the airport), however as a tourist we were discouraged from going off the resort due to safety reasons.
