Hotel Spring Break Policies :
1. Student / Spring Breaker Groups (21 years of age or older) will be accepted ONLY at Riu Santa Fé hotel.
2. All Student / Spring Breaker Group reservations are strictly On Request and will be reviewed on a case by case basis by the corresponding Destination Sales Department. RIU Hotels & Resorts reserves the right of admission and may reject any request at its sole discretion.
3. If a Student / Spring Breaker Group is accepted:
a. The number of rooms will be deducted from the contracted allotments
b. Minimum Age requirement: 21 years of age or older.
c. The Hotel may request proof of age in the form of passport or official ID
d. Each room must submit a signed liability agreement upon check-in.
4. At all other RIU properties Student Groups / Spring Breakers (either groups or individuals, regardless of age) are not allowed at any time during the year.
5. Guests disturbing or generating complaints from other guests or hotel may be removed from the property, at their own expense.

In dire need of refurbishment, standards very low. It was mainly enjoyed by teenagers. The place was dirty. Vomit in the only working lift for 2 days, abandoned drinks with cigarette butts floating in them lined up in corridors for 2 days. Mosquitos were rife, just awful experience.

If you want a fun sprawling party resort you’ll love it. If you want culture, good food, and customer service pick a different resort. I will say the jerk chicken shack is a fan favorite and the cleaning staff keeps a nice room. Not much to do outside the resort besides excursions if you plan to wonder.

Property has taken a beating through the years as every day it is a 24/7 party resort. People are constantly passed out everywhere throughout the resort most morning. Elevators rarely work, lobby bar looks like a war zone some mornings, disco is small and smells of mold and nightly entertainment is disappointing in comparison. That said, the food was good, nothing special. Met some great people. There is areas to escape the chaos if you’re looking for somewhere to hide or have some quiet time.

My stay at Riu republica was overall 4/5 the location/beach was amazing, by far the nicest beach I’ve been to on any resort and the waves were so fun to swim in. The drinks and pools were very 4 star not 5 star in my opinion. The food I was a little disappointed with. The buffet was the only spot really to find a good meal the other restaurants were 2-3/5 but overall me and my friends had a great time. Finally the Riu parties OMG whatever they tell you about them is true the most fun I’ve had at a resort. Pink party was the best

Really recommend this hotel
The best people, so much music, good food and drinks. I love beach at the Riu Republica. If you want to party or if you want to relax, this is the best place.
