I had an amazing time at Riu Tequila! The resort has a great atmosphere—lively but still relaxing. The food was delicious with plenty of variety, and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. The beach is gorgeous and just a short walk or shuttle ride away. Whether lounging by the pool or enjoying the entertainment, there was always something fun to do. I’d definitely come back!

Wonderful winter sun
Lovey relaxing break. Rooms spacious with a new towel animal every day. Beds very comfortable with clean linen. Free safe in the room and drinks topped up every couple of days. Hotel was well equipped with plenty of choice in main restaurant. We only tried the Chinese but this was disappointing. All tasted nice but was lukewarm which spoilt the enjoyment. Plenty of activities in the daytime if you wanted it. I think ball games should be banned in the quiet pool. With four pools available it would be nice if one was kept as a quiet pool. It was off season so not much of a problem for us but can imagine it would get very busy at other times. Beach was a very pleasant short walk away. It was stunning with soft sand and plenty of sunbeds. There is also a restaurant and bar on the beach. We enjoyed watching the wildlife around the hotel. Staff all very friendly and so hardworking.

The only problem we had was the baggage reclaim and Mexican customs which took over two hours. The resort and accommodation were very good food was also very good no problem getting a sun bed by the pool although if you wanted poolside you would need to claim with your towels before breakfast. Overall the entertainment was good but probably aimed at family early and then 20 to 30 year old after especially at weekends sports bar very good and good choice of snacks. Beach was within easy reach and sand and sea were excellent, overall excellent holiday.

Brilliant Tequila
Amazing stay at Riu Tequila, the staff are so friendly and hard working they contribute so much to make your holiday the best it could possibly be.

Great location, beautiful beach, most staff friendly and helpful. Managers are not friendly or helpful, was a special trip and contact made with hotel prior to arrival to arrange an upgrade (happy to pay for) but requests were not responded too. Food was not great all buffet style even the al a carte restraunts, a la carte restaurants that did have a menu had 3 choices maximum. Requested late check out on numerous days prior to departure but would not confirmed until morning of departure but not available. Room tired, ground floor in a block with no privacy. Nicer hotels in the area would not recommend RIU
