Great Week with Shut-Outs and a Few Areas for Improvement
Traveling with two couples, we had an excellent and relaxing vacation. We enjoyed the variety of the Royal Solaris (fun musical party scene) and having full access to the much quieter/more relaxing GR Solaris right next door. A few other highlights: - A la Carte restaurants were excellent (5 out of 5), including a good variety of restaurants spanning Royal Solaris and GR Solaris. - Main Buffet was okay (maybe a 3-4 out of 5). - It can be a challenge to communicate with some of the staff if (like us) you don't speak Spanish. - Most staff is eager to help, but not all. In general, some of the stuff could be more service-oriented. - The restaurant staff can be quick to give away your reservation if you are > 10 mins late, and not very accommodating when you walk up without a reservation (even when there is clearly capacity in the restaurant.) - The place was always very clean. Special shout out to the talented team of Ilsa, Consuela, and Elena at the Members Desk, who were very helpful and made a huge impact toward the enjoyment of our final day at the resort ahead of an evening flight. Thank you ladies!

Good hotel, good for kids!
We really loved the children's activities at the mini club: face painting, chocolate making, kinetic sand, and cinema! I'd like to say a huge thank you to the mini club staff: Odette, Emi, Mari, and Sule! The hotel also has interesting, approximately 30-minute shows in the evening that are magnificent for both adults and children!

Great service
I just want to take the opportunity to recognized all the great employees Solaris Cancun has. From the bell boys, front desk, housekeeping, bartenders and cooks just to mention some . We really love the service they provided. All very friendly people. I also , highly recommend Octavio Monte’s Photography. The photo shot was inexpensive and high quality. He was very professional and helpful. Even after we got back from our trip I had questions about the editing of our photos. He has always responded quickly .and takes the time to answered my questions. About the resort, if you read the reviews you will get a general idea of what to expect. It was not my favorite place but had excellent service.

Friendly Staff/ Dirty Hallway
Overall, my experience was great! The food, drinks and facilities were all up to par but the staff really made the experience enjoyable. I’m particular, Javier, a server staff, was very welcoming. I saw Javier throughout my stay and he always was curious and friendly. He wasn’t like this just to me though, I could here his friendly conversations with many stayers and I’m sure they appreciated him too. One thing to consider is cleaning the hallways of the hotel rooms. Over my 5 days, my hallway seemed to get dirtier and dirtier, though my room was cleaned ver well. Just a suggestion. Cheers!
