  Royalton Splash

  We enjoyed this resort and there were many pools and a nice beach. We traveled with children and they were busy the whole day between the water park and pool. We were especially pleased with all the help our butler Amarlys gave us. She responded to all our needs in a quick, friendly and efficient manner. All the staff was very welcoming and helpful.

  Absolutely would NOT recommend

  What a truly horrific experience. We booked our stay for 5 nights and were ready to cut our trip short after 2. My boyfriend and I really aren’t picky but we thought the food at most places was inedible (especially at the sports bar), with incredibly limited options open or available to book through. 2 restaurants were closed the entire time we stayed which really limited our meal options. The only place we liked was the Hibachi restaurant. In the room itself, our shower door leaked the whole time and made our bathroom flood. There were tons of stains and probably mold. Our bathroom door also didn’t close so there was 0 privacy when using the bathroom. We complained 2 times and they claimed they fixed it, but they definitely didn’t. They said our fridge would be stocked - it had 1 soda. We had to ask for waters every day. Our room also rarely had enough towels. When we would call the front desk for help with anything, they directed us to the app which barely worked. It was not easy getting help and honestly sometimes the staff was just rude, no one really tried to help us when we had issues. The only exceptional staff were the bartenders - they made the vibe really fun! These were smaller issues but the ice machine didn’t work the whole time we were there and we requested a 2 PM check in, and they said it would be just a 30 min wait when we arrived, but didn’t get a room til 5 PM.

  OK but not what I expected with the amount of money I paid.

  Our first ever trip to the Caribbean and in an all-inclusive resort. Maybe our expectations were too high. Resort was pretty but overall we found it lacking and not worth the money we spent. We went Diamond Club. Staff were 50/50 - either brilliant or really didn't care (also had a couple beg for tips which was a bit awkward as we were tipping anyway and made it just feel a bit forced). Food was pretty bad. We never got sick from the food but it just wasn't very good and usually overcooked (I guess you have to expect that?) The buffet was ok - breakfast was good there. We enjoyed the seafood restaurant on the Splash side (staff were brilliant there). Zen was fun. Steakhouse was awful. We had to wait 2 hours for food, then when it did arrive it was so overcooked we couldn't eat it. Our table (and several others) left to eat at the buffet. When we complained to management the next day they told us their time was "too precious" to be dealing with that. Nice. Our fridge was never refilled. On asking our butler, he brought us a case of water but the fridge itself never got refilled despite leaving notes and money for housekeeping. Dinner reservations were such drama! Butler made a big fuss about getting us into restaurants and how hard it was, then we'd show up and it would be less than half full. Butler was good overall and always checked in with us. Room was nice enough and kept clean. The shower leaked everywhere which meant it was always wet in the bathroom. The bathroom door was broken but they came and fixed straight away. Entertainment - shows were good but be careful in the theatre - many seats are broken, several were in pieces and we ended up on the floor a couple of times when we sat down. On the balcony most seats were broken and it was full of boxes. We had two teenagers with us and were looking forward to the teen hangout with its pool table and games etc - nope, didn't exist. It was an empty room. There really is nothing for kids their age to do apart from swim so they were bored. The beach was lovely. It rained heavily every day we were there. I guess that's to be expected as it's the Caribbean in winter, but outside our room (ground floor, block 6) turned into a bad smelling swamp every day which was pretty unpleasant. So overall, I definitely wouldn't be back to a Royalton Resort if this is what 5 star luxury and fine dining is! I can spend my money on far superior experiences elsewhere.

  Great family resort

  Very beautiful resort with a lot of options on things to do. Buffet was great aswell as the drinks at the bar. Our butler Amarlys also did a great job booking things for us. The rest if the staff was helpful and they got what you needed. Definitely recommend for a good family resort

  Amazing experience!

  We just checked out of the Royalton Splash Punta Cana side we booked diamond club and upgraded to the presidential suite. Which was a perfect size for our family of 4 we had space and so did our kids. Our butler Romeo was absolutely fantastic !!! He checked on us daily oh the mornings via message and came to see us personally everyday to ensure there was anything we needed and to make sure we were enjoying our stay he made our stay even more memorable , he’s an amazing addition and so personable with my family and kids you have an amazing employee with how attentive he is to his guests ❤️ We tried more of the Ala cartes and the under the sea was our favourite the filet steak could be cut with a butter knife and the crab cakes were great…. The only Ala carte that didn’t meet our expectations was the hunter steakhouse the fries and Mac and cheese were all cold and my husband didn’t care for the brisket. We found the service in the Marche buffet by far superior then the service on the selections buffet if your diamond club use that side. Our server Juan on the diamond club beach he was great I didn’t even have a drink done and he brought more. Same with the server at the bubble pool for diamond club names Jose. These servers all were fantastic Our room was clean, comfortable and we had lots of water and towels zero complaints on that side. We enjoyed the slides at the water park, beach was gorgeous and the diamond club beach attendant Joselito ensuring we had a great spot, we had an amazing week!! Thank you for these Royalton employees for making an amazing impression and for making our week even better. We can’t wait to return!!!
