Jan 31, 2025Overall a Decent Value and Location
This was our second stay at this location. Most everything was as expected, nice service, helpful staff, clean and a nice walkable resort / village area. Good food on premises and a couple decent restaurants a short walk off property. Excellent cafe / cocktail bar just outside the resort gate (Bon Vivants). However we did not have as nice of a room as our first visit. Booked a smaller non-lagoon room on a sale and it was a bit worn and in need of renovations. Something I’m sure will be resolved soon. Still clean and quiet but expected a smaller version of the nice room we had before. As far as location goes, the little resort village is nice but expect to pay $30+ each way for a taxi to downtown or $20 just to check out Baha Mar casino. Busses only run till 6p so a taxi or rental is a must if you want to be out later or want to come and go as you please without a timetable. The taxi cost isn’t the resorts fault but it is based on location. This negates some of the savings by choosing this smaller resort. Plan accordingly and consider consolidating trips to and from downtown.

The people that worked there were super friendly and genuine, especially at the pool/beach bar. Bass, Mrs. Knowles, and Kyle were a lot of fun and served customers with a smile. We had stayed a few days at Atlantis and we just didn’t get any “we want you here” energy. Same at check-in, the Sandyport team was really welcoming. The rooms were clean, very large, and quiet. The area around the resort had a couple nice places to eat or grab a craft cocktail. We would stay there again if in the area.

A wonderful relaxing stay!
My wife and I really enjoyed our stay. Our room had a lovely view of the Waterway and really enjoyed sitting on the balcony and watching the boats go by at sunset. Special shout out to my good bartender friend Bascom! Not only a great bartender but a good friend now! Peace and love.

Even better than the pictures!
The outside areas are stunning! Nice calm water beach, pretty multi-colored buildings, multiple hammocks with scenic vistas, canal and harbor. Pool and pool slide, outdoor games, bar by the pool. Rooms are adequate. Easy access to airport by 15 minute taxi and to sights in the downtown area of Nassau by public bus that runs daytime hours. 4 restaurants within walking distance. Grocery store a mile away. Felt very safe. Friendly staff, though it would be nice if they could make change consistently. Insider tip - visit Atlantis after 5 and you can see the aquarium for free.

A Hidden Gem on Cable Beach
This resort is a quiet oasis where we were able to relax by the pool, watch the boats in the canal or sun and listen to the waves on the Beach. There are so many fabulous restaurants on the property. Our favourite place was Bon Vivant - you can sit outside under a beautiful natural tree canopy while enjoying your favourite coffee, pot of tea or cocktail. In the evening there is often a live band. The staff at this resort are very friendly and accomodating. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. This is the perfect place for family members of all ages.
