  Awesome time

  The people that complain about this place are the ones that you can never satisfy...this place was excellent ...gorgeous view..staff very attentive and the drinks are strong...will definitely come back here again..stayed for 9 days here

  Very nice place. Highly recommend.

  April 2025. I enjoyed my stay here very much and will definitely stay here again if I visit St. Martin. I have already told several people about this hotel, and I highly recommend it. It's a very affordable place with good amenities. Staff was always friendly and helpful. The pull-up for the bathroom drain came loose causing the drain to not open, and the repair man arrived within minutes to fix it. Breakfast at the onsite restaurant was delicious and VERY affordable ($10 or $12 depending on the meal). My room had a king size bed and a kitchenette area with fridge, stove, oven, dishwasher and all the needed utensils, but I never used them, as I am generally only in my room to sleep/rest while on vacation. It's not a "high-end hotel" that'll cost you a ton of money, but it's very nice, clean, quiet, and only a few minutes away from the Maho Beach area where there are lots of restaurants, shops, and nightlife. The convenience store located in the hotel has many of the things one might need (forgot to pack) plus beverages and some reasonably priced apparel and souvenirs. They do rent snorkeling gear by the day or week. If you're looking for a budget-friendly hotel that's clean and quiet and has a helpful and courteous staff, I highly recommend you check this place out.

  A lovely visit with just a few flaws

  We found that the staff -- all of the people who work at Sapphire -- are lovely, and helpful. Our suite, which was enormous, had some problems, including a safe that was broken, sliding glass doors that were not on their base and could have fallen down on us, and wort of all, a toilet that was broken and that even though people came many times to try to fix it, it was still not functioning when we left.

  Avoid This Place!

  A very run down facility and not resort-like in the least. Our room had no hot water for our entire three day visit. No manager or repairman on site to rectify this. The room had a nice view and was ok except for the cold water and ants in the bathroom. Pool was ok. Advertised beach access was a treacherous walk to a two foot wide area with big waves and hurricane debris. Unfriendly breakfast staff person and afternoon/evening bartender. We should have paid more attention to the bad reviews.

  Pleasantly surprised

  Reading the reviews my sister and I were preparing for “not so great” accommodations… However! we were pleasantly surprised with a clean spacious room with beautiful views of the ocean and sunsets. The workers are caring and kind especially Marsha who not only help book a wonderful jeep tour but also taxied us around and made sure to warn us too stay out late (we are two ladies traveling alone) She made sure we had a taxi pick us up and was always there when we needed her. Marsha made us feel safe and cared for . Thank you for a wonder stay !
