Not the best experience!
I had high expectations for this place, but it did not live up to the expectations. It's a very large resort and it takes a couple of days to fully get acquainted with the place. There is lots of restaurants to choose from, but the food was just ok. We booked a 7-night stay and ended up leaving after night 5 because the food got us sick and the overall experience was just not good. The drinks here are watered down and the service compared to other Secrets hotels doesn't match up. Most of the staff always seemed bothered and were not the most attentive. Although there were a couple of people that do deserve to be highlighted: Efrain the concierge was such a sweet guy, came around a few times just to say hello. He even offered to clean our shades and kept us informed. Alejandro from the skybar was also very attentive, Ramses during checkin helped us get another room due to a bad experience with the first room we received. (huge hairball left in the room). Also booked a high floor on the preferred tower and was placed on the 2nd floor with a view of a broken-down pool. Ines our butler was a doll and was always available to assist. We personally would not return here due to many factors.

You should go!
Great resort, excellent service overall. Food choices were amazing and no need to pre-book was nice, well worth the money. We will definately be back next year. Day trips to Saylulita & La Cruz were easy and quick ways to see a little more of the area.

Relax and enjoy the warm Mexican hospitality.
Beautiful setting on the north side of Bahia de Banderas. The resort has everything, so you don't have to leave the property, but golf is close by. Many pools and restaurants and with an adult section, you can find quieter venues. You could spend a month here and not see everything offered.

Great food, service, music and entertainment.
Restaurants - Bluewater Grill manager, Alexi, went over and above to ensure we had a top notch experience in service and quality of food. Mezza/Olio manager, Rosa, made our dining experience very enjoyable. Maria, the hostess at the Secrets breakfast buffet was very hospitable. Entertainment/music - choices were very good with a major presence by the Black Sheep band. The silent disco was a big seller with many participants especially when they played a couple line dance songs. Also like that the DJ took song requests. Love to give credit to the entertainment manager who organized everything so well. Recommend moving karaoke to the amphitheater since most participants are dreams kids/family so the adult guests sitting in the lobby bar above the plaza area don't have to experience listening to the inexperienced singers.

Yearly friends trip
We arrived Dec 3-10. Check in was quick. We got our room right after checkin. Very clean. The resort is large and takes a day to sort out the elevators. Lots of pools to choose from. Preferred area is great with amazing sunset views. Swim up bar is good. They could have more than one bar tender as the wait could be long. Beach is not easy to walk on. Fun to watch all the surfers. Food was very good. Drinks were good. Nightly entertainment was good. It is attached to Dreams so the theatre and a couple evening restaurants you will have kids. Other than that you will not see them. Spa is amazing. Weather was perfect. Pickle ball courts are awesome. Mix of ages. Would go back in the future.
