Jan 20, 2025Fell a little short but still good over all!
Nice resort just missing some finishing touches. There's a little language barrier which made it a little hard ordering drinks at the different bars and dinners but the staff is very friendly. The food is good but not great other than a couple meals. We've been to 4-5 resorts and I would recommend this resort if they have good pricing when booking a trip. By all means it is a nice resort and we had great service but when we compare it to the other resorts it was our least favorite.

I just returned from 1 week, at SBM, with my wife, friends and family & it was a wonderful experience. First off, I want to compliment the great service by a few UVC staff members. Natalia checked us in, & her first impression genuine, kind, patient and professional & was attentive thru-out our stay. She came thru on assisting us w/room upgrades and restaurant reservations. Natalia was always a delightful person who answered our questions with positive demeanor, questions which she probable hears from every UVC week after week. Ivan was our butler & he was terrific. He checked in w/us.... via text during our stay. His service was wonderful... as he facilitated a Football Viewing party for our group in our suite. ensuring we had all we needed as far as drinks and food as host for this event. Ivan checked in via text all week and assisting us in our Restaurant recommendations and reservations. If you have the opportunity to experience the butler service at this resort... ask for Ivan. I can't say enough about Ivan, as he deserves these honest and sincere compliments. If all of our future interactions are this good, It will re-assure us that membership in UVC was a good decision. Ivan has set the standard. Overall, everyone whom we came into contact with in the UVC was great. Kassandra was always patient and kind when I was asking about our world of Hyatt points. On whole there wasn't any staff, thru-out the entire resort who was not professional & pleasant, from housekeeping, room service bartending, restaurant wait staff...they were all great The food is as advertised... the Italian, French options were the best in our opinion. The ladies in our group enjoyed the lunch options at Olio, and the Preferred Sky bar. We did take advantage of the Marieta's Cabana, this was great. Eddie and Victor were attentive and friendly. I'm not one to write long detailed reviews... so if after you read this, feel free to throw any questions at me via Tripadvisor.

Incredible vacation
Amazing week long stay. So many great things to do it’s overwhelming! The food was top notch and the views were even better. Hotel is in a great location for water activities like whale watching and surfing! The staff is incredibly attentive and friendly. Rose on the 8th floor was so helpful with getting into the preferred club and also made the check in process a breeze! I kept finding myself on the 8th floor, for the spectacular views and hospitality. My favorite trip by far and so many crazy and fun memories.

Get pillow tops!
The beds are hard. That’s the worst thing I can say. The food and service is good. The rooms are well appointed and the best view is tropical on floor 5 and higher. Always ask for your preferred alcohol or your gonna get crap that should only be used to start your lawn mower.

6th time going. AMAZING
Our 6th time going to this resort. The food is amazing. There are so many options you hardly have enough time to go to them all in 7 days. Farm fresh eggs from their own chickens every day for breakfast. The entertainment is really good. The amphitheater up in the trees on the hillside is a nice touch, makes for a great environment. Ephrain our pool concierge was amazing he joined with us to play beach volleyball when we were short players. Sophia and Atif with UVC treated us like gold. Thanks again to all the staff for this wonderful experience.
