Jan 21, 2025Good Trip But Changeover Growing Pains
The Resort is in the process of changing over from being a Margaritaville to becoming a Dreams resort. There are definitely some growing pains. However, Managers are visible on site working with staff to make things better. Overall, our vacation was good. I did get sick with stomach issues (not from drinking a lot) during our stay but my husband did not get sick at all. Resort is very clean. Our Pteferred Club Junior Suite Swim Out room was updated, fresh, contemporary and close to all the amenities. Rm. 4044 had: a very comfy kingsize bed with plenty of good pillows; lots of storage space; a safe; a well stocked mini bar; a large bathroom with a big walk-in shower with rainfall and hand held showerhead options, deep soaker tub, large mirror and two sinks and private toilet area and large deck with table, chairs and loungers and easy access to our swim out with stairs with a handrail. The grounds and pools are well maintained. It wasn't busy when we were there. It was easy to get loungers by the pools and at the beach. The Buffet offered great variety at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Unfortunately, service to get drinks and clear away used dishes was hit and miss, often very slow. Alejandro was the best and most attentive server we had there. Room Service was efficient and food choice was good. The restaurants open during our stay were the Italian, Pan Asian, Steakhouse, Sports Bar and Grill, Coffee Shop, Preferred Club Lounge and Mediterranean (only for Preferred Club guests' breakfast and lunch). At all of the Restaurants Service was inconsistent. Food was also inconsistent - sometimes not hot, sometimes not cooked enough, sometimes not tasting good. The Pizza at the Italian was fresh, hot and tasty. The Pad Thai at Pan Asian was good but had no spicy bite - just sweet. Steak was okay. Hot Cappuccino and brownies at Coffee Shop were great. Alexis and Nunez at the Main Pool Bar were entertaining, creative drink artists and attentive. Bands playing in the evening were really enjoyable. There was a variety show one evening and a Dominican show on another evening, during our week. Daytime activities were inconsistent. Sometimes scheduled activities didn't happen. The Beach was very disappointing. It was rocky right behind the Resort. You had to walk a ways down the beach for a decent sandy area. Going forward this Resort should catch up to the standards and service of other Dreams Resorts with continued training of all staff and great effort to provide excellent service from all staff.

We booked our honeymoon at Secrets Cap Cana and would 1000% recommend. The service there is absolutely incredible! You can tell the staff truly love their jobs. One of the highlights of our trip included our AMAZING butler Darling. He made our stay so effortless by coordinating spa treatments, surprising us with decorations, and by checking in on us numerous times each day. Another highlight from our stay was that the food and drinks were amazingggg😍 We had such an amazing time and we can’t wait to return in the future!

Another Fabulous Vacation at SCC
Another incredible stay at Secrets Cap Cana! The 2nd time that we have visited here for NYE. They throw the most amazing NYE party! We stayed preferred this time and it is definitely worth it. The preferred lounge has great cocktails. The bartenders make creative and delicious cocktails. Our concierge was Jeison and he made our trip so special. He is an amazing person and goes above and beyond to make your trip the best ever! Esperanza waited on us at our swim out and has the most positive energy and always greeted us with a smile and sometimes a song. Our Bali bed waitresses treated us like royalty, Vannesa, Maria and Yuleisy. I also highly suggest a visit to the spa. The hydrotherapy pool is such a treat. It is a beautiful resort with a friendly staff that will make your stay unbelievable! We can’t wait to return!

Excellent Stay!
We had a wonderful stay at Secrets Cap Cana Resort! If you have never been to an all inclusive resort, I highly recommend this being your first! They set the bar high! The customer service is unmatched at this resort. Our concierge Jeison Calderon was excellent! He offered daily knowledge of activities on the resort and helped us with off-resort local shopping recommendations for a specialty item not sold at the resort.

Ready to book AGAIN
Wonderful experience! Beautiful beach and the staff were always so nice and helpful. We took advantage of the room service, several times for breakfast and it was always delicious. Each day our room was cleaned very well and then they came back for turndown service each day. A great experience overall
