Secrets Maroma falls well short of 'Luxury'
Staff and room accommodations are very nice. But the Hyatt Maroma Beach is very overpriced for its quality of offerings. Poor selection and quality of drinks. Having stayed there, the value of the stay is around $400-$450/night, well below the price charged for the lowest quality room.

Best experience
Amazing staff, amenities, everything was perfect. Would recommend to any couples looking for a relaxing trip without much planning. We loved the private beach cabana and concierge! The food and drinks were incredible as well. Could not recommend more.

Beautiful Resort Hotel, super friendly staff
We really enjoyed our 10 night stay at the Secrets Maroma Beach Hotel. Our room was well proportioned, the restaurants offer a range of excellent international food and there were plenty of sunbeds available. There is a variety of daytime and evening entertainment that will suit most tastes. The hotel is located about 20 km outside of Playa del Carmen, which adds a bit to the journey time if you want to go out on trips. We went out on trips to Chichen Itza, Rio Secreto and Tulum, but you can easily stay within the hotel and its grounds. The staff are all very friendly and go out of their way to help you. Nothing is too much trouble for them. The hotel is kept extremely clean and is well maintained. The hotel backs onto a sandy beach and you can comfortably have a bare foot 4 km walk on the soft sand. Depending on the wind there can be a lot of seaweed washed up on the tide.

Preferred is a waste
Beach area was great, excellent service. pool area another story. No Preferred pool or jacuzzi. Pools were cold ,the bottom rough and impossible to find a seat after 11 am. Globalist do not receive any perks . Food is good for an all inclusive resort.

Amazing hotel
This is the best all-inclusive hotel we have ever been to and the beach is beautiful! There were a couple of things that needed improving. Good: Cleanliness All staff Evening entertainment very good - the Mexican Evening, Element show, Hearts singing show and fire entertainers were all amazing. Restaurants, especially the French and Italian. The breakfast is to die for. The eggs and pancakes section are amazing. The lunch for burgers is fabulous. Not so good: Concierge. We requested and couldn't get a kettle for our room. What we read about concierge staff going out of their way, ours in our block didn't seem to make an effort. Broken sunbeds on the beach Not enough sunbeds around pool - hard to find any available
