  Wedding at Secrets Tides

  We had the most incredible experience working with Glaymi, our wedding coordinator at Secrets Tides in Punta Cana. From start to finish, she was patient, supportive, and intentional about every detail. My husband and I both work long hours, and even when it took us a few days to respond, she never made us feel rushed or forgotten. Glaymi truly cared about making every part of our wedding count. One of the things we appreciated most about Glaymi was her transparency. She walked us through every detail of the planning process. From decor options, ceremony arrangements, and reception add-ons, she explained all the costs upfront. There were no hidden fees, no last-minute surprises, and no pressure to choose things we didn’t need. Glaymi made sure we had exactly what we needed, and she helped us recognize what mattered and what was just extra. In my day-to-day job, I’m used to structure, planning, and organization. To say that Glaymi impressed me is an understatement. She was exceptionally organized and always two steps ahead. She created clear timelines, confirmed details with vendors, and followed up on things before I even had the chance to think about them. During our rehearsal, she led with confidence and warmth, making sure our entire wedding group knew exactly where to be and what to do. On our wedding day, Glaymi managed every detail from timing, transitions, decor, music, and family coordination. We enjoyed our day without any worries. Glaymi checked in with us often, fluffed my dress before I walked, and somehow managed to be everywhere she was needed at the exact right moment. Beyond just being an incredible professional, Glaymi is a genuinely wonderful person. During the reception, we shared so many fun, joy-filled moments with her. She celebrated with us, laughed with us, and made us feel like we had known her for years. It truly felt like having a trusted friend guiding us through the most important day of our lives. There are simply not enough words to express how grateful we are. Secrets Tides is stunning, but the real magic of our experience came from Glaymi’s dedication, kindness, and talent. She turned our vision into reality and exceeded every expectation we had. If we could book our trip back to Secrets and plan our wedding with Glaymi 1,000 times over, we absolutely would.

  Secrets Tide Punta Cana

  Holiday Stayed at Secrets Tide for one week with my sister and our husbands. Loved it! Special thanks to Juliana, Jennifer and Miguela. They always made our coffee with smiles. Their demeanour and professionalism was top notch! Also a shout out to Juan and Jefree in the entertainment! Loved waking up to the horses grazing in the field behind our room . Also amazing sunsets over the mountains from our balcony ! Hope to return soon.

  Fantastic trip

  Honeymoon trip to secrets tides punta Cana was amazing. Rooms are very modern and clean. Staff was great. Our butler Jonathon was the excellent and quick to assist in any way. We will be back!

  Perfect romantic getaway

  Location - first time in DR. 40 min drive from the beautiful Punta Cana airport. Atmosphere - calm and romantic. We could always find a place to just the two of us. Rooms - fantastic layout. We had a non preferred swim out - very quiet- very clean. Value - the resort is luxurious enough that you do not need to spend the extra for preferred. High level of service without paying extra. Staff - the friendliness of the staff and the amount of available staff makes the resort feel like it’s at half capacity- it was at 90% while I was there. It was amazingly calm and relaxing. Food - though you may read about complaints of the food quality. It’s not possible to please everyone. The food was great. The buffet had a lot of options. The restaurants were always readily available and the food was mostly excellent.

  Secrets Tides beyond our expectations

  Nov 19th to Nov 26th 2025 This resort was impressive. Easy check-in. Excellent staff. New (2 years old) and flawlessly maintained facilities. A very well appointed room with a decent amount of tech. Housekeeping crews did a great job of cleaning our room, as well there’s nightly turn down service which is a very nice touch. As one often returns from the beach around 4 or 5 to shower, the team that does turn down service replaced our towels. Nice touch. The beach was extremely well maintained. Seaweed being an issue in the Caribbean, it’s mechanically cleaned multiple times a day. In the morning they run a small machine between all the beach chairs to pick up straws and cigarette butts that many clients sadly are too lazy to pick up themselves. There’s an endless supply of fresh beach towels as well as numerous places around the resort to drop them off when you’re done with them for the day. There’s rarely a shortage of staff wandering the beach to see if you need a drink. We were frequently served by Michael (hope I spelled that right) who was outstanding. À la carte restaurants were all excellent and no reservations are required, except for the Teppanyaki Table. My personal favourite was “El Patio” which serves great Mexican fare, Seaside Grill (Steakhouse) served a really decent piece of meat cooked to perfection and the Seafood (Oceana). Their house wines are also of very good quality, this isn't always the case when one travels south. The buffet is well designed in that the area where one gets one’s food prepared is a completely separate room from the where one sits, so you’re not looking at people having their omelette made while you’re eating yours. Speaking , there were 2 or 3 omelette stations. Great selection of very fresh food. In the dining area, there’s tables for 2, 4, 6 and 8, depending upon your group size. We were frequently served at the buffet by “Ivelisse" and she was courteous and accommodating, an excellent representative for the quality of staff at Secrets Tides. For those that wish to eat lunch at the Beach Grill (Barefoot Grill), it has a pretty limited number of tables. The “Preferred-only" clients have access to a restaurant near the beach for breakfast and lunch which seems to have many empty tables, which was a pet peeve of mine. Though we would walk up to the buffet for lunch and were never disappointed. As well they have a private pool for “preferred”-level clients only. Worth noting; the resort seems to be completely wheelchair accessible. Ramps everywhere with smooth transitions between different surfaces, and all buildings have elevators. There is even a hoist for lowering people with limited mobility into one of the pools, as well as a reserved palapa at the beach for wheelchair access. There is a fitness facility that seems very well equipped for those that like to work out. One interesting insight, we had dinner at Portofino with friends one evening, the husband had had an episode that landed him in the clinic the night before while dining at another restaurant. As we were leaving Portofino, the hostess asked which of us was from Room 13##? They had heard that someone had had a health issue the night previous. Our friend responded "it was me", and they inquired as to whether he was feeling better, which thankfully he was. I have NEVER seen this level of concern for the guest experience in any other resort. We've been south at least 30 times, and this is hands down the best resort I have ever been to. Would be more than happy to return.
