Nov 22, 2025The Good, The Bad and The Ugly
We have just completed a 2 week stay so this review is my honest and accurate account of Secrets Tides. THE GOOD The hotel, is new ( less than 2 years old) modern and very comfortable with lovely communal areas. Beaches, bars, pool sections and gardens are immaculate. Numerous choices for restaurants and bars (more on this below) Bedrooms, very comfortable and high tech. All staff, very accommodating and work hard to please everyone. Numerous activities and entertainment for all generations day and night. Nightly theatre shows with Beyoncé and Queen being our highlights. THE BAD The pool/ beach bar. Drinks quality poor. Beach service, first week excellent, second week disappointing. Balcony chairs green and mouldy. THE UGLY Food temperature. Despite consistently requesting in Spanish (mei caliante) we are disappointed and frustrated that most meals continue to be served lukewarm despite the excellent efforts from Any. Limited Lunchtime dining. We only have 2 choices, the pokey small Barefoot Grill with long queues and inadequate seating or the buffet. Not good enough for a two week stay as we are bored with both. We are not in the preferred club and feel like second class citizens, the club tends to over dominate most areas by the beach and pool. Beach bed rules. Hotel take note. Police and enforce your beach bed rules. No beach attendants and not enough beach beds. Guests are having to drag pool beds onto the beach themselves.

Nov 21, 2025Food and Beverage not up to Secrets standard.
I am struggling reading the overly positive reviews from others because I feel like I’m staying in a different hotel. So we are still here and it’s our last full day. The resort itself is amazing. The hotel, the beach, the cleanliness, the rooms, the pools, the gardens, the front of house staff, all of this is great and if it was for this, we would definitely recommend this hotel, however, we now come on to the negatives which have been so frustrating for two whole weeks. The kitchens in the main restaurants cannot seem to serve hot food. If you like eating luke warm or sometimes cold dishes that are supposed to be hot then you will be just fine here, but if you like hot food then you will get as frustrated as we have been. About 4 days in we complained and Any took us under her wing. She arranged our dinner reservations and assured us of hot food. Bless her, she tried so hard. For the next two days we got special attention and actually got hot food but it was short lived. We even spoke to the chefs but the temperature of the food is just so inconsistent. The breakfast buffet is good and up until today the lunch buffet has been good. But today it appears that with an influx of new guests everything has gone terribly wrong. The buffet was crazy at lunch, everything ran out, even no salad bar. It took 20 minutes to get water, ran out of Sauvignon Blanc that we have been drinking for two weeks. Really frustrating. The Barefoot Grill has been badly thought through. Needs to just be a beach bbq. They should take tips from other secrets like Moxche. The pool bar is crazy unorganised and the drinks are not good. They seem to mix anything and hope no one complains. They don’t know their cocktails. Never the same drink. Today, Friday 31st November they have run out of Cava and beer. Service is bad at this bar. I must say this does not apply to other bars in the main hotel where we have had good service and good drinks. It pains me to make this review because this resort could be spectacular. But for me, my wife and my friends this resort has several issue on food and beverage that need resolution. I just hope they listen. For now we won’t be coming back and we take several holidays.

Perfect place for a honeymoon! Perfect combo of fun, chill and romantic. Food phenomenal, felt like you’re going on a date every day❤️ staff incredibly sweet and professional, felt like queen treatment with drinks coming and going all day and night! Pools amazing, not too crowded because of different areas and different pools. Shadai our butler was a great help and another bonus luxury to have when needed. Every question and request was fulfilled to the fullest. Would definitely recommend this resort and will probably return ourselves as well!

Perfect relaxing getaway at Secrets Tides
My partner and I spent 7 nights at secrets tides in November and we loved every minute of it. The resort was beautiful, we loved the food but we especially enjoyed the breakfast and lunch at Oceana which was included with the preffered club package. Our room was spotless as was the rest of the resort. All of the staff members were lovely but our concierge, Shadai, and Dayse and Yunior at Oceana were especially welcoming throughout our stay. We would recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway and we hope to return as soon as possible.

Amazing vers Nice at all point
M'y butter Shaday was the best ,always There for us, always looking after us.the food was excellent i recommend, Diana and Daibinson are the 2 best at the diner
