    Fantastic

What a fantastic hotel, the staff were so accomodating and when it rained they tried their best to make and set up activities. Could not fault the trip. We were in room 1127 and it was just Fabolous. I will come back again and I look forward to dancing in the pool again. Thank you Sarah

    Pleased to be back home

I recently stayed at the Fiji Sheraton Golf Resort and Spa from December 21st to 26th and had a somewhat mixed experience. Upon arrival, I was immediately impressed by the hotel’s cleanliness and modern décor. The property is well-maintained, and the staff are friendly, polite, and eager to help. The atmosphere is warm, and they genuinely try to make guests feel welcome. However, despite these positives, there were several areas where the experience fell short. The most significant issue during my stay was the slow service, which was particularly noticeable during breakfast. We waited over an hour and a half for two cups of tea, and throughout our stay, drink orders regularly took around 40 minutes to arrive. Eventually, we started ordering two drinks at a time to minimize the wait. Adding to the inconvenience, our cups of tea would be delivered, but we’d then wait another 40 minutes for the milk. This kind of delay, particularly in a setting like this, feels frustrating, and it seemed that the staff were struggling to keep up with the demand, which led to a sense of disorganization. We had booked an all-inclusive package, but the communication regarding what was included was unclear. Different staff members provided inconsistent information, and as a result, we were often unsure of what was covered each day. This led to confusion and, at times, a somewhat frustrating experience, as we were told that certain items were available one day, but not the next. In terms of room comfort, the accommodations were generally fine. However, we experienced some disruption from the cleaning staff, who arrived at 8:30 AM—far earlier than expected. Our room was located next to the staff cupboard, and we were often woken up by staff shouting and talking loudly as they went about their duties, which made for an uncomfortable start to the day. The food, unfortunately, was another area that didn’t meet expectations. We dined at the Island Buffet, the beachfront à la carte restaurant, and also ate exclusively within the resort. Breakfast was particularly disappointing. The Eggs Benedict station, which we were looking forward to, was not properly stocked, with only a few centimeters of water in the station, no poached eggs, and no hollandaise. There didn’t seem to be enough staff to handle the volume of guests, which led to long queues and a sense of inefficiency. I felt uncomfortable asking for eggs to be made fresh given how busy the staff were. Additionally, two of us suffered from food poisoning, which was especially upsetting as it occurred on Christmas Eve. I reported this to the hotel, but I had to follow up to get a response. While we did receive a complimentary bottle of champagne as compensation, it felt like an insufficient gesture given the circumstances. After becoming ill, I happened to notice the prep area behind the buffet, where I observed benches covered in brown liquid and raw fish stacked on top of cooked meat. Given these conditions, it’s not surprising that we experienced foodborne illness. In summary, while the Sheraton Fiji has a lot of potential with its beautiful setting and warm, friendly staff, the slow service, lack of clarity around all-inclusive offerings, and issues with food quality and cleanliness made this a less-than-ideal experience. Unfortunately, the poor service and food-related issues, particularly the food poisoning incident, had a significant impact on our holiday. I was relieved to return home and seek medical treatment after what turned out to be a rather disappointing Christmas vacation.

A beautiful resort and great amenities

Upon arrival at the Sheraton the entrance is grand, and the welcome warm as is expected from Fijian hospitality. The rooms are modern, well air-conditioned and if you get a beachfront room, views sensational. We are currently concluding a 13 day stay and have thoroughly enjoyed our time. This is our 10th trip to Fiji, having always stayed at The Westin, and one year the Intercontinental. We wanted to return to Denarau and thought we’d give The Sheraton a try. Really glad we did as this experience was wonderful and once The Westin reopens, we’d have to think twice about rebooking with them or choosing The Sheraton. Tatavu was absolutely delicious, both the food and cocktails, and the live music really set the ambience. 28g was great for sandwiches, iced chocolates and coffees. I would like to make special mention of Seri at 28g. We have had the pleasure of knowing this beautiful soul from our very first trip to Fiji 10 years ago. Her welcoming, warm demeanor is a true asset to your business. Her interactions with your patrons are truly priceless. She should be very well looked after, its people like her that have us coming back. The reason for 4 stars and not 5 are due to two things. Housekeeping was inconsistent. Your welcome sheet says housekeeping finishes at 4pm, 5 days of our stay housekeeping didn’t attend until 4.30-5pm, frustrating when you return to your room, need a shower or want a lie down and the room isn’t done. Second reason is on the 21/12 you were holding two functions. As a business owner, I understand this is a great revenue stream and of high importance. This does not excuse staff/security guards to be rude to your paying guests when a function is happening, the whole thing was chaotic. We were out the front waiting for a Bula Bus to come and had a security guard abruptly stand right in my husbands face and raise his voice to move back. We weren’t actually in anyones way, and are a family of 3 with a young son minding our own business, the impression was as though we were about to impose some sort of security risk to the event, even though we were simply standing out the front for the bus to arrive. No need for that sort of treatment.

Money stolen from our room at Sheraton resort fiji

I checked in at Sheraton resort fiji five-star resort, and while the facilities were excellent, my experience was marred by an unfortunate incident. I returned to my room 19/12 after pool to find that a significant amount of money had been stolen from my personal belongings. Despite the high-end reputation of the resort, the staff seemed indifferent when I reported the theft, and no immediate action was taken to resolve the situation. Security was inadequate, and the response from management was slow and unhelpful. I had expected better customer care, especially given the premium price. For the cost of the stay, I would expect a higher level of security and integrity. This incident has deeply tarnished my perception of the resort, and I won’t be RETURNING!.
