New rooms at the Sheraton
The Sheraton Sand Key is a hidden gem so to speak. Across the jetty is the new JW Marriott Clearwater, though it has its bells and whistles, I thought this property is an amazing alternative. Though the property sits back off the beach, it does sit in the gulf directly with water access. The rooms just went through a complete renovation and came out. Though the bathrooms are small the new shower really opens it up to maximize space. The housekeeping was nice as the room was clean and did not feel sandy and grimy which is sometimes found at waterfront beach resorts. The breakfast in the restaurant was a let down.

A quaint and special restaurant.
My husband and I ate at Rusty's. It's one of our places we go to for a special occasion. The food was excellent as was our server Walter. It's a little pricy but you get your money's worth. We actually had to split our salad and entree; that never happens. They also gave me a dessert of my choice for my birthday. Will we go back? Yes!! We have one request: that you bring back the prime rib buffet and Reuban on keys. Those were the precovid days.

Wonderful trip - Beware of noise
I recently stayed at this hotel and it boasted wonderful amenities and an incredibly kind staff, making for a pleasant experience overall. The facilities were top-notch, offering everything from a pool side bar to clean and spacious rooms. However, I was disappointed by the noise levels; thin walls and loud parties made it difficult to enjoy a peaceful night’s sleep throughout my entire stay. While the hospitality was commendable, the noise issue detracted from an otherwise lovely stay.

Shannon is amazing and she should lead classes for all your employees to treat guests like Shannon did
Shannon the bar manager made me experience wonderful. I had a lot of time in between the various activities and Shannon was always in the bar, greeting me with her award winning smile and effortless charm. I spoke to numerous attendees and they also felt that they were in good hands whenever they spoke or were helped by Shannon. She introduced me to the most amazing cake, one I have never even heard of and I must have had at least 2 during my 6 days here. I don't know how much you all know how wonderful she is for the Sheraton brand, but now when I think of Sheraton I will think of her fondly and even when I come back to tampa, I will consider staying here again just so I can hang out with Shannon and the rest of her amazing crew
