Not happy
Smell of damp room 116 toilet brush could be seen, brown. Uggh. Filler in door frame in bathroom brown, very obvious, not Expected to be in this condition for a 4 star hotel, felt like l was in a run down 2star because of this, sometimes noisy guests in corridor Although staff very friendly. Went to sizzle restaurant, nice food but very warm, and singing from downstairs loud.

British Airways holidays have not updated the condition of this hotel for a long time
Very nice staff, but they are completely understaffed as a hotel. The BA website is completely misleading about this hotel. I would not book it through BA holidays and it makes me question BA holidays overall. It’s a long time since I have been in a hotel in such need of refurbishment. Even the letters from the name of the hotel are hanging off or missing. There is nothing on site in terms of facilities. No water, no cafe, no Restaurant, no room service. It feels very unloved and far too large for the current owners to manage. You cannot swim in the sea and the beach is full of seaweed so you cannot access the beach at all easily. The pool area is not designed, particularly for relaxation and you are arranged around a rectangle. There is a very small children’s pool. You have to go out for breakfast lunch and dinner. There are lots of nice places to eat, but I have to say I wished we had stayed at the Marriott

Hotel Needs Work
Cons: Not a 3 star, I give it a 2 star because it is. Everything about the hotel needs some care, touches and tlc. Stayed here many years ago when I came back to sk when they had a club. Said then wasnt for me.As you walk through reception on the right. That is a sight and needs something doing to it to make it look pleasant. Nothing has changed More needs to be done in the garden. A lot of dirt. Altho my room was cleaned daily and clean towels were layer out the room still dated. The colours??? Brighten the room up. Use white beddings and get rid of those sickly orange and colourful thro on bed. My ring went missing never to be found. I saved them the embarrassment by not going to the police. I cannot claim back my ring which, I'm not going to let it bother me. You learn from not locking things up or walk with your possession. No ice station in hotel. Gate locked all the time which I think is stupid. You have to keep walking round to gain entry to and fro. They need to put a gate with a lock that opens with numbers so that paying guest can choose to come in that way which would be better but, management have to trust themselves in order to trust people. All the time having to go thru the reception If you just want a bed to sleep on and not bothered about your surroundings, then it's for you I normally stay at the marriott and only stayed here because of my sister. Won't be staying again. Internet was good altho got logged out a few times. Pros: The only pros was the two receptionist. Very warm, welcoming, friendly and always with a smile. Cannot say that for anyone else. I made it a point before I departed to get their names. They are "Cherise and Kam'Ron". You have both treasures there, look after them. Nothing is never too much for them and always with a smile.

Avoid the DUMP that is SUGAR BAY CLUB ST. KITTS!
This was one of the worst experiences I've had while travelling and I travel an average of 4 times per year. For the money you spend, you will want to stay in your room and only leave when someone comes to take you to another location. This place is a DUMP!!! Save yourself the hassle, you can't even sit on the balcony or see through the glass door of the 'ocean front room', everything is filthy! The people at the front desk are polite and try to excuse the nonchalant attitude of the owners and managers. There is practically no security, I could not sleep for the first three nights. Beach? What beach? While you're not advised to swim in the Atlantic Ocean, it would have been good to be able to walk on the beach. The beach is filled with weeds and garbage that have washed up to the shore, a little raking would go a long way. Some days you get room service, some days no. Let's not talk about the service when it comes to cleaning. I went out one day and returned around 11:30am, when I got back, it seems the room attendants came by, they took the towels, but didn't clean, after 4:30pm, here comes an attendant asking if I needed the room to be cleaned. Why would I want you in my space cleaning when you had the entire morning? Not once was any landscaping done in the area I stayed. This property shows signs of being a great one in years gone by, now it's nothing but a DUMP!! Spend the additional $20 and upgrade to other properties close, don't be disappointed as I was. The only reason I stayed was based on their non refundable policy. What a nightmare!

mixed feelings
We booked a weeks stay with BA. The pictures are very generous and were obviously taken some years ago. There were some good things about this hotel, namely the staff are incredible very efficient, helpful and friendly, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. It is noteworthy that anything that the staff team have control over is excellent. The gardens are beautifully maintained and the pools are very clean. However, the buildings are very run down - one has faded yellow tape preventing access to the staircases at either end, and I am not sure why it hasn't had the necessary repairs undertaken, as it has obviously been this way for sometime. The paths around the gardens are cracked and uneven. The beach in front of the hotel is covered in rubbish and seaweed and was not cleaned at all during our visit, however as it is not advised to swim from that beach the impact on daily life is not huge. Keeping it clean would be easy - indeed all of the other beaches in front of hotels are beautifully maintained but may be the owners of the hotel don't want to invest the money. There are no restaurants or bars on site. The breakfast offer for those with breakfast included is at a local bar down the road and one is given a voucher for 40ECD to exchange, this equates to significantly less than the difference between room only and breakfast included. The restaurant is fine but a little chaotic. There is also a small supermarket just outside of reception. There are no safe's in rooms, there is one safe which the reception team have control of, which is no reflection on them but does mean that one's valuables are kept in conjunction with others. The swimming pools are clean and a lovely temperature but small, and if the hotel is fully booked would be crowded.
