Feb 20, 2025Great Hotel and location
Everything you want in a beach hotel: clean rooms facing the beach, lush tropical courtyard with pool, amazing onsite restaurant/bar, friendly and helpful staff, excellent location close to bars and restaurants in town. Lots of repeat customers, some who have been coming for 20+ years. That speaks volumes.

We have visited San Pedro 15+/- times over the past 30 years and loved it every time. We have stayed at 1/2 dozen different resorts. This property has a great location. Across the street from the airport, on the beach, close to downtown/restaurants. The accommodations are decent but we stayed in better for less money. No water jug in the room, you have to go downstairs to get drinking water and ice. You also had to go to the lobby to get coffee or use a microwave. You are not allowed to bring anyone back to the property with you even if it’s just to sit in the quart yard and visit. This was an issue for us because we visited the island with 16 other individuals that we travel to San Pedro with regularly. They did not all stay at our location and we couldn’t have even one of them back to hang out or take a swim. Cameras are hung everywhere so you can’t get anyone into your room. I was ill a few days of our stay and received a nasty note twice because we ask housekeeping to skip us while I was ill. They want into your room everyday. We will avoid staying there again.

Return Trip and DID NOT disappoint!
Our second stay at this hotel and AGAIN, a wonderful experience. First and foremost, the staff from the front desk, housekeeping and grounds keepers are the friendliest and most accommodating! There was not one encounter that wasn't a pleasure! The hotel itself is impeccably maintained. Location is perfect for walking to so many restaurants/bars/downtown. Last year AND this year, we booked for the subsequent year before leaving. No where else we'd rather stay! The Bluewater Grill has some of the best food on the island and the staff from waiters to bartenders to management are all fantastic. I would have to dig VERY deep to find any negative at all. If I had to give one, it is that the pillows definitely need replacing! VERY flat and had to use two every night. Otherwise, the bed was extremely comfortable. On another note, bring your own soap (as we always do when we travel) but all there is in the room is liquid soap and it is not that great.

Nice Short Stay
I am surprised there are very few reviews for SunBreeze. Communication with the hotel before check in was very good with them confirming details of all guests, arrival, departure times etc a few weeks before. Check in was very quick with details of pool and restaurant hours. Security seemed good with buzz-in after 10 and notes to ensure the door was latched at all times when in rooms. The hotel is in a good location to explore San Pedro and is just across the street from the airport, the ferry dock is close by as well. Our room was large, modern and clean. The pool was not busy when we were there but it was a bit chilly, (air and pool). We did not eat in the restaurant, it was busy and has a good reputation, we just wanted to try some others close by that had more "local" meals on the menu. The bar closed early, if you want a drink after 9:30, you will have to go elsewhere or stock up. San Pedro is very busy, expect to see many golf carts zooming by when you leave through the lobby. You can also leave from the waterfront area and walk to various restaurants and bars that way.

Jan 12, 2025A good base to explore san pedro and relax
The hotel is perfectly located in the centre of town and the airport, yet is quiet. The rooms are spacious and comfy. Breakfast is at the blue water grill at extra cost, but theres a good selection and is good. The place comes alive in the evening with drinks, music and themed menus. The reception team are very attentive and helpful. The pool are while small is very welcome, good for relaxing in the heat of the day.
