Jan 22, 2025Don’t believe the negative reviews!
Went to Sunscape Curacao in a group of eight women on Jan 10, 2025. We were looking for a fun beach vacation that wouldn’t break the bank. Many of the reviews we read were brutal, (broken air conditioning, bad food, dirty rooms) but the beach looked great so we were prepared to make some concessions. We booked Oceanside rooms through the Sunclub. (A small upgrade and it was definitely worth it!) My roomie and I were in building 3; most of our group was in building 8. I will ask for building 8 if I go again. In building 3, it was a bit noisy at night from the entertainment at the main pool. We were absolutely delighted with our room. It was clean, we had tons of towels, our fridge was full of water and beer and our patio slider opened right on to the beach. The food was comparable to other all-inclusive resorts we’ve been to at this price point. (Don’t expect Michelin stars!) Breakfast on the beach, and steaks at the Grill were great; there was TONS of choice at the buffet, even for the Vegan member of our group. I was not impressed with either of the Italian or Japanese options. We are not averse to tipping; we tip early and often, and the staff deserved it! Everyone we encountered was cheerful and happy to help. Especially the cute bartender who gave me his lighter for my scented candle. The beach here is one of the best I’ve ever visited. While the shore was a bit pebbly in spots, the water was crystal clear and there was great snorkeling just off the beach. If you’re a pool person, the Sunclub pool was lovely with great drinks and yummy snacks everyday. I highly recommend this resort and will likely go back with my husband in March or April.

We stayed at the Sunscape Curacao Resort, Spa & Casino December 2024 to January 2025 for 16 days. The service we received was exceptional the staff was all very friendly and helpful. Snorkeling at the resort was also great no need to leave the resort to snorkel. The resort is older and can possibly use a few updates. Our room was always very clean. Whenever we had a request, it was met. There were plenty of beach lounge chairs and pool lounge chairs and table and chairs. The food and liquor were ok. We were a little skeptical before going after reading previous reviews but found all was good. Yes, we would go back.

Great value - excellent resort! No complaints!
After reading all the negative reviews online, I was apprehensive about staying here.....I kept reminding myself that the beach & weather were great and that they weret he most important things. I was pleasantly surprised! Our room was beautiful (just like the pics posted on the site), we always had hot water, our air conditioner worked perfectly, the staff were super friendly and accommodating! No complaints whatsoever! Mind you - we were polite to the staff - "what comes around, goes around". If you are looking for Michelin star cuisine - go to Italy or France. The food offered at all the venues was delicious, for the Caribbean, of course! We enjoyed the benefits of the Sunscape Club and would recommend this nominal upgrade. Excellent value - I would definitely return!

Snorkel Beach and sun
This place has a beautiful beach quiet sun club pool good buffet and restaurants. Staff is responsive and the snorkeling is great. It has its charms just don’t expect the Ritz or Westin. Very easy to get food and go see schools of Bluetang near the seawall. Buffet has a nice selection of veggie based dishes and sweets in addition to the main dishes. Oceana had good fish and a great breakfast selection.

Jan 19, 2025Curaçao is awesome, Sanscape Resort very average.
The beach was amazing. Bring snorkeling and go pro, underwater camera, as that is awesome here. The resort itself is an average all inclusive. Food was ok, service at restaurants extremely slow. Rooms are ok but a couple of our group did not have good working AC in the room. All in all an ok place to go, but just set your expectations of the resort as lows but the beach and the actual island high!!
