We'll probably visit this one again
We've stayed at 5 or 6 resorts on Cozumel and this was our 2nd time here. The resort is average, the food is average, but we planned to eat most lunches and dinners off resort as we always rent a Jeep and drive around the island and to town as well. The beach is very nice and the beach bar nice. We had a newer, beach-front room and it was very nice. Our spa experience was very nice as well.

Great budget-friendly option if you're not a "princess"!
This was our second visit to Sunscape Sabor. It's not fancy but has everything you need. Almost all staff are lovely and friendly and helpful. Food was good but not a lot of food variety to the menus so this meant I lost weight, despite all the mango margaritas (which were delicious)! Wish it was easier to arrange kayak/snorkel gear - no one was ever at the "station". Be aware that this resort has a lot of local families staying there - no issue for us but some guests may prefer a more adult-oriented property. Only real complaint is around other guests who would block off sun lounges early in the day and barely make an appearance at the beach and many obnoxious/drunk American guests.

Enjoy my trip
Good hotel for what I paid. Clean and comfortable . Food was ok but not superb. Great customer service. Was surprised that there were not that many people, so was easy to grab a chair at the beach or at the swimming pool. I was ok with that, it was quiet and peaceful.

Look elsewhere!
The staff is the friendliest I’ve seen in Mexico. The Hotel is very worn down and not clean. Common areas have lots of sand on walkways and you’ll track it into your room. There are places on the facade that look like there may be mold. The ac was mediocre at best and that is after calling for service twice. There’s two restaurants and food selection is very limited. There are better options in my opinion to stay, regardless of the money. Good luck.

The good, bad and ugly
All staff and general workers were great. Food subpar pukfyg-2hekqe-ruHpyz. No real options. If you are dissatisfied with the breakfast, order an omelet! Probably a great inexpensive place for a family with kids on a budget. Do NOT NOT NOT take the Unlimited Vacations Club presentation. Read The NY Times article and be prepared before you go. The article will tell you better than I can. We made the best of what was offered. Copious amounts of alcohol helps. We would not consider returning. Read recent reviews. Anything negative is probably true.
