No plans on returning
Just so-so. The property is beautiful but it’s ridiculously overpriced and far too crowded. Coral rooms are falling apart, the bathroom had mold. The food was good, but the portions were far too small for the price paid. The staff was very friendly other than the bar staff.

Meh. Just meh. Not bad. Definitely not great.
They say it’s a 4 star resort. I think on the generous side it is a 3. The hotel itself minus the grounds are maybe a 2.5. The grounds are amazing of course and Atlantis is great. The coral at Atlantis is barely a motel 6 attached to a really gorgeous property. Housekeeping is extremely inconsistent. The only time the room was 100% was check in. Everyday we have called to ask for towels, hand towels or shampoo and soap. Overall staff is ok but most are indifferent to be there. Costs as many said are sky high. I’m all for spending lots of money on good meals but here it’s all average. Pricey. And then add 25% for auto gratuity and tax. And speaking of auto gratuity. When you get ice cream and auto gratuity tips them $6 for ice cream and they look at you like why aren’t you tipping more? It’s quite frustrating. You took 4 seconds to drop a scoop of ice cream in a cup with a frown. Why should you get tipped $10 to do that? Just my take. I’ll gladly spend hundreds on meals but make it worthwhile. At aquaventure one of the major slides is broken and looks like it has been for a bit. It makes for long lines at the others. Thought we’d come see Atlantis and i have. I don’t think i would return. There is just not much beyond the beautiful grounds and the water park that make it worth a trip.

the resort was incredible from the pool to the amenities the grounds and the friendly staff could not do enough for us . We will definitely return to this resort. The food is also very good with many choices in the area. the ocean was very clean along with the beach area also the short boat trip to nassau was a lot of fun.

Staff Communication and Food Quality Below Rate of Pay for Stay
I recently stayed at Atlantis in Nassau and recognize that the property was recently purchased by Marriott for the Chinese government, with ongoing renovations. While the grounds were well-maintained, my primary concerns were the lack of clear and honest communication from the staff and the inconsistent quality of food. Staff Communication Issues During my stay, I encountered multiple situations where different staff members provided conflicting answers to the same question. For example, I arrived at the hotel on March 3rd around 12:30 PM and was informed that check-in was typically at 4 PM, but I was encouraged to keep checking for updates. Around 2 PM, after lunch, I checked on my room status and was told I could use a house phone (which was difficult to find in working order) to inquire. However, another staff member mentioned that the front desk should have taken my cell phone number and that I should have received a text update. At 3 PM, I checked again because the other three people I arrived with had already received their rooms. I was told my room was ready but still needed inspection. At 3:45 PM, I was informed it was finally ready. When I asked to speak to a manager, I was told to go to my room and that a manager would come to me. When I questioned why I couldn’t speak to one immediately, I was told that managers were “in the back” and could not come out to talk with guests. At this point, I refused to go to my room and instead observed who appeared to be managing operations. I found Ricardo, who was very understanding and visibly upset about how my situation was being handled. After finally receiving my room at 4:30 PM, I received a call stating I would receive a $150 credit for the inconvenience, which I accepted and moved on. However, the next day, I inquired about switching to a king room since my wife would be joining me after my business meetings. At check-in, I was told kings were fully booked but that I could keep checking for availability. Given my previous experience, I proactively followed up. This time, I was upgraded but requested the room be ready and inspected by 2 PM, to which the staff assured me there would be no issue. At 1 PM on the day of my upgrade, I checked with the front desk and was told that 2 PM was only a request, not a guarantee. Additionally, I was asked to check out of my current room and have my luggage stored by the bellmen until the new room was ready—a request that, given my previous wait time, did not sit well. However, after another phone call by the front desk staff, my upgraded room was suddenly available immediately. This left me feeling that if I had not pushed back, I might have been unnecessarily delayed again. The lack of internal communication among the staff gave the impression that minimal effort was being made to assist guests unless they pushed for better service. Food Quality Concerns The food at Atlantis was underwhelming. The only truly enjoyable meal I had was a fish sandwich from the pool bar. I also tried the Center of Water restaurant, where the food was served cold. Over two group dinners, some dishes were well-prepared, but others were not worth the price. The ingredients seemed to be of good quality, but poor preparation ruined the overall experience. For the pricing, I expected better execution. The disappointing meals at lower-cost venues discouraged me from trying the higher-end restaurants, as I wasn’t confident the experience would be worth the premium price. I did enjoy Murray’s Deli, where the food was properly prepared and tasted great. However, the only reason I didn’t rate Murray’s Deli higher was because when visiting the Bahamas, you expect great fish and seafood to be the standout options. Unfortunately, this category of food left me disappointed. Exceptional Service from Housekeeping & Front Desk I do want to give credit where it is due. The housekeeping staff was outstanding. Every night, I returned to a clean and well-organized room, which was truly appreciated. This team deserves the highest marks of all the staff I encountered. Additionally, I had a wonderful experience with a young lady at the front desk who had braces. While everyone I interacted with was kind, she stood out because she used common sense when handling my concerns. She quickly recognized issues before I even had to fully explain them and solved them efficiently and professionally. She is incredibly smart, and if I could, I would hire her in two seconds for my own business. Final Thoughts I am hopeful that Marriott’s acquisition of Atlantis will lead to necessary improvements. However, given the current pricing, my expectations were already adjusted lower than the advertised rates, and yet the service and dining still fell short. There is potential for this property to become a top-tier destination, but significant improvements in staff training, service consistency, and food preparation are needed before I would consider returning or recommending it at its current rates.

Save your money and go somewhere else someplace else
The only thing good was the front desk, Edge, room staff and overpriced buffet. Overall all it is EXTREMELY Overpriced for a resort that is NOT all inclusive. Forced gratuity at all locations, including Sundries, i.e. buying a can of soda and candy bar. Rides were not all working. No shuttles to get off the resort property and see other, less costly, parts of the island. Weak massage therapist.
