Trip of a lifetime
From the moment we landed at the Airport we were warmly greeted and given amazing smelling flower necklaces, we checked in around 9am and was taken to breakfast and a tour of the property even though check in for us should have been 11am. We went snorkeling in the huge lagoon with fishes all around us. Once we dried up we were informed our room was ready at 1pm a whole two hours early. Our Butler Violine or Vio as everyone calls her was truly amazing, there wasn't anything she couldn't do for us, i totally burned my back day 1 and by day 3 was dying, she ordered Biofine from the island and had it delivered in 45 minutes to our room and then told me about a product that saved our trip, a long sleeve tshirt for swimming that has sunblock in the fibers, it allowed me to go on our jet ski excursion and our snorkeling one too. Either our over water bungalow was well maintained or other ones are in worse shape than ours but the rooms were still luxurious, yes they are not up to date but still extremely comfortable and huge. Extremely powerful and quiet AC system. Food wise you might get bored when you stay there over 5 or 6 days but honestly the food is top quality, and please order the butter chicken, its def a hidden gem. take advantage of all the cultural activities that go on daily. Dont be surprised that everyone knows you on first and last name basis, they make sure all staff know everyone there. The General Manager is an extremely nice lady who gave us an even more in depth tour than our Butler did and would check in on us every other day which was truly amazing. In room dining is extremley fast never waiting more than 30 minutes. Def book the lagoon restaurant if you have booked your trip through costco bc itll only cost you 25 more a person. Even before we left we were already planning our return trip, something we never even think about.

Overall an excellent stay
Overall this is a fantastic resort to come on holiday to. The natural wonder of Bora Bora and the location of the hotel with its wonderful lagoons is quite spectacular. We spent a total of 10 nights at the hotel. We had great service daily from the breakfast team right through to all of the staff at every single restaurant and especially Tini who drove our son around non stop in a buggy (he was obsessed with them) and the overall attitude of the staff throughout the resort was fantastic. We had a very friendly and kind butler named Chloé who met us daily for breakfast to discuss our requirements for the day. She was very kind and helped to organise a birthday surprise for my wife. We had a beach villa which was in a fantastic location with the lagoon on one side and the beach the other. Truly a spectacular setting. I would say a beach villa is significantly better located than the reef side. I am an ambassador bonvoy member and have travelled extensively to the Maldives at high end properties which is probably one of the few comparable locations to Bora Bora and if you are comparing the two, I would say that whilst the actual room quality may be better in the Maldives, the location of Bora Bora and indeed the St Regis is absolutely majestic and as such for me gives it the edge. How therefore could the resort improve in my opinion? The rooms are definitely tired. They feel as if they are 15-20 years old and as such the fixings, floorings, pool area etc are quite worn. I would say the bathrooms are particularly outdated with a bath that an elderly couple for example may struggle to use as it is so deep into the floor. The old wooden floors when wet become rather slippery and become a bit of a hazard. The shower is set up on a step I feel this could set up once they do renovate could be improved. Towards the end of our stay we experienced quite heavy rain and wind. This seemed to cause quite a delay with regard to the buggy service. I would also ensure more staff are briefed about the privacy sign on the door. We travelled with a toddler and as such he needed to nap during the day. 3x the door rang despite the privacy sign on the door. A small thing but nevertheless an area to improve. The internet is very intermittent and sometimes it’s a struggle to connect to. I would say this is an area that needs improving though I don’t doubt the remote nature of the island makes this difficult. One of the most underrated dishes on the menu they serve is the butter chicken. Undoubtably they have a talented Indian chef and it would be great to see more of his Indian talents on menu as a permanent offering. Each time we had a reservation at a restaurant there was never a high chair ready for our son. I feel that if you know there are toddlers coming with a reservation this should be ready. Small detail but a this price point a way to enhance the guest experience. I said to my wife this would be a once in a lifetime trip to Bora Bora as we live in the UK but I have a feeling it won’t be too long until we come back. Thank you for a memorable trip.

Magical Experience
I can’t say enough about how incredible our stay was at St Regis over the Christmas holidays. They really do go above and beyond for your vacation experience. The butler service was great. The beauty of the landscape was amazing. Perfectly situated to view Mt. Otemanu from our OWB. It was so peaceful and romantic. Never did anywhere on the grounds feel crowded. The grounds are so beautiful! Did I say that already?! Well it’s worth repeating. The Lagoonarium with the Napoleon fish and getting to snorkel with him was a thrill. The Oasis pool area was romantic and lovely. The breakfast buffet each morning was superb! Staff was so friendly and made us feel at home. We really appreciate that as we did not get that when we visited Mo’orea. The sweet touches they provided like flowers on the bed and awesome sweet treats left for us for our 15th anniversary celebration was very nice. St. Regis made our stay in Bora Bora one I will cherish forever. Before we went we thought this would be a once in a lifetime trip, but now we are planning a second stay at St. Regis. It was that amazing.

Paradise - We all agreed it was our favorite vacation spot!
Our stay at this resort was absolutely spectacular! There were so many incredible experiences that it’s hard to capture it all. We stayed in an overwater bungalow, and to our surprise, they upgraded our kids (ages 22 and 19) from a Royal Villa to an Overwater Bungalow right next to ours. However, our kids wanted their own pool and the chance to experience both the overwater bungalow and their own pool, so we declined the upgrade. In the end, it was the best of both worlds! We spent many days floating off our overwater bungalow, then swam in their pool, which worked out perfectly. We brought some floaties that we purchased from Amazon along with rope, but the resort had rope available if needed. Our butler, Florina, was an absolute gem. She checked in on us daily (sometimes more) and gave us a warm welcome upon arrival. She took the time to tour us around the entire property and explain everything we needed to know, which was such a thoughtful touch. One of the best things she did was make dinner reservations for us in advance, saving us the stress of figuring out where to eat. The staff, across the board, were amazing—so friendly, attentive, and genuinely eager to make our stay memorable. A pleasant surprise was the complimentary pressing service, which allowed us to have two items pressed per person, per day, with everything returned within an hour. The property itself is beyond beautiful—paradise in every sense. One of the highlights for us was the bikes available for each room. We spent a lot of time biking around the property, exploring the Royal Villa, lagoon, restaurants, and just enjoying the peaceful surroundings. It felt like a true adventure every time we hopped on the bikes. What truly impressed me was how the staff seemed to know our names, even when we didn’t remember meeting them! Everywhere we went, we were greeted with our last name—it really made us feel like VIPs. As for the food, it was mostly fantastic. Our only disappointment came from the Lagoon Restaurant. Three of us ordered the filet, and it seemed like they had taken one 10 oz filet and split it between us. We each got two small pieces, around 3–4 oz on each plate. For nearly $80 a plate, that was a bit of a letdown, especially since my 19-year-old son, who’s 6'3", was still hungry afterward. However, the mashed potatoes there were absolutely incredible! One of the most unforgettable moments happened when we were walking to the bar, and the live music just happened to be playing our wedding song—Keith Whitley’s “When You Say Nothing at All.” It was so special, especially since we had recently celebrated our 24th anniversary. The Christmas Eve buffet dinner was another highlight. It was a lavish seafood and shellfish spread along with other meats and dishes, with champagne included. For those of us who don’t drink champagne, wine would have been a welcome substitute, but the food was still outstanding. We also did a 2.5-hour jet ski tour with Marine, which was an absolute blast! My son was initially hesitant, thinking we’d be cruising at just 15 mph, but we were going nearly 50 mph! It was so much fun! The tour around the island was stunning, and the lunch we had was delicious. This was definitely a trip highlight. We also enjoyed snorkeling in the lagoon, where we saw Moana and a variety of colorful fish—such an easy and fun experience. We took the complimentary boat ride to the main island of Bora Bora, which only took about ten minutes. From there, it was a 25-minute bus ride into town. A total of about four hours being away from the resort. Aside from the Christmas Eve dinner, it felt like we had the place to ourselves! We never had trouble finding seats at the pool, and the resort never felt crowded, which made the whole experience incredibly peaceful and relaxing. We travel to tropical destinations every year, and as a family, we all agreed that this resort was by far our favorite. It offered the perfect mix of relaxation, adventure, and luxury, and we’re already dreaming of going back!

Paradise found!
Our stay at the St. Regis Bora Bora was absolute perfection! From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home. The restaurants were phenomenal—every meal was a treat (especially at “Lagoon”). A special shoutout to our butler, Nicholas, who went above and beyond to make our trip unforgettable — he helped us plan activities and was overall a very nice guy to talk to. The overwater bungalow, stunning views, and impeccable service made this a dream vacation. Highly recommend.
