Jan 19, 2025Take time to pamper yourself at Westin Cozumel Spa.
My sister and I did the Heavenly Treat package with Guili and Sara. It involved body scrub, massage and facial. We both loved our experiences and it has to be the best spa experience on the island. I can’t say enough and would recommend to friends/family. At the spa, you can come 30 mins early for steam room, cold plunge, hot tub. And afterward, I had tea on the lounger on the outdoor balcony overlooking the ocean. It was a highlight of the long weekend.

Perfect resort for families with kids or large groups. Beautiful beach and reef.
The Westin Cozumel is the perfect sized resort for families with young children or large groups of people. The kids can play all day on the beach or in the pool and snorkel the reef that runs along the resort, within easy sight of their parents/carers. There are only 2 restaurants and one swimming pool so large groups don’t lose each other around the resort. The hotel rooms have seen better days but are comfortable. The service was friendly and helpful. It’s only a short drive (15 mins) to the ferry port and bustling restaurant/shops district. The inclusive food and drinks package is a great idea, although be prepared to pay a tip for all service. My wife is a vegetarian and she was happy with the available food options. We had a wonderfully memorable family Christmas vacation here.

Perfect location in Cozumel
We had a great time on this beautiful property. The water is perfect for snorkeling, with plenty of fish and clear visibility at over 25 feet. The staff is fantastic, and Alex Chan at the pool snack bar was a welcome sight each day. He is attentive and a great asset to the Marriott family.

Top notch!
Such a great hotel! Only complaint, I didn’t like the hotel scent. You know how hotels are creating experiences with signature scents? Yeah, this one wasn’t great. But everything else was amazing. Food, beyond our expectations. Service, exceptional and friendly. Spa, unexpected paradise! There is snorkeling right at the hotel. They provide snorkel and flippers and the fish right off the beach are fantastic. The spa deal was so great so my husband and I decided to treat ourselves. There was a sauna (not hot enough but fine), steam room, jacuzzi and cold plunge pool. All communal but we had it all to ourselves. What a treat! Ruth and Gillian were amazing. So sweet. They did an amazing job. My husband is picky about his pressure. He needs a firm hand. I like a nice relaxing hand. It’s like they could read our minds! We would definitely stay here again.

We just spent six nights at this hotel. Pros: location is close to town, lovely snorkeling, hardworking cleaning staff. Lovely breakfast buffet. No upgrades for titanium status. Cons: the first room they put us in had water all over the floor from a leaking refrigerator. There were a couple holes in the wall, water stains on the ceiling, dirty upholstery, and furniture was all scratched up. The second room they put us in was better however, the air conditioner never worked properly. The room was always extremely humid and it was regulated so we were never extremely comfortable. The air vents in the room were dirty and there was a bit of mold on the ceiling in our bathroom. The sand at the beach had a lot of small debris/trash in it so you definitely needed shoes on. This is definitely not a luxury resort, but we made the best of it. Would not return.
