Dec 20, 2024Disappointed with the Service at West End Playa Bonita Marriott
I visited the West End Playa Bonita Marriott in December, and while the facilities were nice, my experience was overshadowed by poor customer service. They mistakenly charged me $350 instead of the $150 I should have paid for my reservation. When I noticed and reported the issue, they assured me the charge would be reversed, but they didn’t do it immediately. Despite multiple follow-ups, I am still waiting for the refund to this day. This kind of mishandling ruins the overall experience and erodes trust in the brand. I hope they take steps to improve their problem resolution process and finally address my case.

The room, the bed is so comfortable, the a la carte restaurant is wonderful, we will come back to this resort and recommend anyone to come here. We love the buffets, the kids love the pool. Idalia is wonderful, she served us at the Fuego steak house.

Christmas trip with my family
The food and service were excellent! My family all chose different dishes and they were all great. The lobster was excellent. Jahir made our last meal at the resort perfect. He was very attentive and kind!. He was very knowledgeable of the meal. Great service!

Great place for a vacation!
We had a wonderful experience at Playa Bonita! The hotel was very nice, clean and well-maintained. We stayed in ocean-view club level. Our view was beautiful, and you could see day and night the line of ships waiting to pass through the canal. I did expect the room to be bigger and nicer on the club level, but it was sufficient. I will mention that club rooftop bar does not have a bar/bartender. They set some alcohol out for you to make your own. None of the facility was crowded, which we really appreciated. From Day 1, we had excellent service everywhere we went, but especially at the outdoor bars. Maximo served us at both the Bamboo Bar and also the swim-up bar. He learned our names, knew our drink cups, knew our drink orders, made sure we got water, ordered us food, and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and even wanted. Definitely look him up when you are there! His smile and personality will make your day! The pools and outside were also very clean and well-maintained. The beach has a ton of shells. Watch the tides, since when the tide is low, there is not much water if you want an ocean swim! For food, the buffet was smaller but sufficient. Our favorite restaurant was the steak house, and we had very fun service there. The pizza we often had for lunch and was so good! Overall, I would highly recommend, and you should do an excursion to the canal and monkey island. Panama is beautiful!

Excellent!
Very good food and excellent staff! Super informative and friendly!! Our server and host were most informative and tended to our table without asking. We will return again, and I rarely give a positive review unless it’s well deserved! Not much more to say but Trip Advisor wants 200 characters
