AN EXCELLENT 5* GET-A-WAY!
The Weston Reserva Conchal all inclusive golf resort & Spain in a prime location in Guanacaste. The beach is reknowned as one of the top ten in the world. We opted for Club Class which offered us a room in Tower 1, and a butler / concierge. Jeffrey was excellent and made our vacation. All the staff were excellent and made us feel welcome. Our room was spacious with a good location and a balcony overlooking the pool. There was a stocked fridge and a good strong shower. The rooms were very clean and the housekeeping was excellent. Although it was an All Inclusive, you had to reserve dinner reservations every night, at one of several restaurants, all of which were very good, although you could eat at the vast buffet Matra, any time without reservations. Our favourite restaurant was 'Bamboo', an Asian fusion mix. Room service was no extra charge. Our morning breakfast was at the pool restaurant, and although the servers were very friendly, service was generally very slow. One had to be careful of additional 'guests' at your table. Birds including hawks would join you in order to get left over snacks. There is an Adult side and a family side, and with no kids, I advise the Adult side. There are many activities: Coffee Tasting Class, Ceviche Class, Yoga, Jet Skis, Banana Boats and of course Golf. The Nightly Entertainment was above average, This hotel is recommended

Great family vacation!
Beautiful resort. Food and drinks were great. Lots of variety and fresh options. The service has been good as well. The only areas we experienced slow service is at the bar, but the bartenders are very busy and working hard. We used Eric G to book an amazing excursion to the waterfalls, wildlife (sloths, monkeys, snakes, frogs and birds), coffee and chocolate farm and a local lunch. He’s in the blue shirt as soon as you enter the beach from the Westin. Our rooms were well appointed, clean and our convene took care of anything we needed. Lots of activities- beach yoga, coffee tasting class, ceviche class, and nightly entertainment. We will definitely be back!

Two Thumbs Up for Westin Reserva Conchal
This was my first all inclusive experience and it was so worth it. The hotel was clean, the staff were incredible, and the food - though the reviews I read weren't great - was surprisingly good. I booked activites through Erik on the beach (blue polo) and was so appreciative to his attention to detail and the spectacular excursions we experienced. I would book this trip again today!

DISAPOINTED!!!
We stayed at the Westin with family over thanksgiving and it was ok at best. Definitely not worth the price per night in my opinion. My wife and I stayed in tower 1 on the ground floor and someone managed to break into our room and hack into the hotel safe. They stole all of our cash but thankfully left our passports. The security team came over and took a report but thats it. Management would not help us out one bit. No sorry, no new room, no hotel credit, nothing.

We never repeat vacations…but we just might repeat this one someday!
We had an incredible stay at the Westin for our honeymoon! The service was incredible as was the property, our room, the food, the drinks, and the location. We particularly liked how large the property was - we got to see so much wildlife and loved getting to go on long walks around the area. We typically never like to travel to the same place twice, but we’d definitely return here. I highly recommend booking the adults only side if you are not with kids - we got access to a huge pool, comfy loungers, and a special restaurant for breakfast and lunch. For excursions, we used Erik Garcia. He is always on the beach wearing a blue shirt and a hat with his name on it, so you can’t miss it. He also responds quickly to the WhatsApp number on his website. Through his company, we took three day trips, one to Rincon de la Vieja, one to Rio Celeste, and a catamaran tour on Playa Flamengo. The staff (especially Diego!) were very fun and knowledgeable. These were also private tours, which made navigating crowds and the travel to/from the hotel much more enjoyable. I would highly recommend using him and his team!
