    Dated, poor property with Marriott status benefits

    It’s a dated, somewhat depressing property. My room was in a corridor with a lot of construction and repainting going on. The fumes were so strong I thought I would faint. Checkout time is 10 am, which is not great. No status benefits for Marriott Elites. I won’t be coming back here. There are few places on the earth where the choice of hotels is as wide as in Cancun… so fortunately, no need to stay here.

    Marriott Elites Beware! No breakfast or other benefits included!

    Beware Marriott Bonvoy Elite members! We are a couple with Titanium and Platinum status, and the only benefit they offer is 1000 points. This is incredibly disappointing, and arguably deceptive. The hotel explains it’s all clearly described in the T&Cs and due to the fact that they are a Westin Vacation Club property (and says it’s the same in Cabo). But the reality is that I choose my hotels based on how I’m treated as an extremely loyal customer to the brand, and this experience tells me I’m not loyal (you can keep your 1000 points). We discovered this at first day breakfast where we were given a $47 USD bill. Thankfully, the management team worked with us for a resolution. But the owners of this hotel should understand this is a poor customer experience, you put your employees in a no-win situation having to defend it, and at minimum you should ensure it’s disclosed when people check-in. Do better, please.

    Our home away from home, in the Caribbean!

    We come every year. We love walking right out of our room and to the beach.The staff is incredible and second to none! The property is so very clean and beautiful. We participant in the water aerobics, the cooking classes and the drink making classes...Enjoy it all❣️

    A bit under classed for a Marriott!

    The hotel overall is rather large and has a lot of features. However, I will have to say that the service overall is pretty poor and a bit frustrating. The rooms are a good size and they look larger because of the vaulted ceilings. The food is just OK nothing special. The breakfast area is an absolute disaster. Very difficult to find a place to sit and the food is just average. I would’ve expected a lot more from a Marriott out of this class. The location within Cancun is at the beginning of the hotel zone and it makes it very difficult to get around. The taxi service is absolutely awful and the taxis are literally falling apart. Lesson learned take Ubers.

    Wonderful beach vacation!

    Wonderful hotel! Fantastic staff. Great restaurants with wonderful wait staff! El Sabor restaurant staff are amazing! Shout out to Herminio, Humberto, Enrique, Ramon, Rene, Elias, Paola, Nathanael, Mariza Adalberto. The Sea and Stones staff are incredible too! Shout out to Chef Jesus, Celso, Yesca, Pedro, David, LUis, Geovanny, Francisco, Armando) Comfortable beds.
