    Fantastic Time, Cannot Recommend Enough

Had a wonderful stay at TRS Yucatan. Apart from the incredible views, pools, and activities, the real stand out was the amazing service we received all over the resort. The Butler for our room, Jose, was always available to help with whatever we needed and helped coordinate dinners and rides whenever we needed them. Daily updates from the Butler team helped us see the events of the day and offered any additional assistance. We were able to dine at many of the restaurants at the TRS Yucatan, but our experience at Tentazione was remarkable. Our server Victor helped create a fantastic dinner with wine suggestions, attentive service, and personalized dessert thanking us for our stay. The food was phenomenal from chef Luis Ramos, would return to this restaurant any day. Our breakfasts at Helios were always great, but Martha Castillo really made it a memorable time. Remembering our orders from previous days, being very welcoming, and always attending to our table quickly was the perfect way to start the days. Our room was luckily near the best bar at the resort, Gaia, whose staff always greeted us with a smile and a drink as soon as we sat down. Specifically Ignacio and Jose remembered us from the first day and always made sure to have a mezcalita ready for us and offer any recommendations they had. Waiting out the occasional rain at Gaia was the perfect way to spend an afternoon. Overall, I cannot put into words how great our stay here was. The resort itself was breathtaking, the room an absolute dream, food and drinks spectacular, and service that is going to be almost impossible to beat. Can't wait to come back soon!

TRS Yucatan, all in all awesome (but includes some tips / pros / cons)

TRS Review - Nov 24 Hi. Here’s our review from our 10 day stay at TRS. All in all this place is incredible, and there’s not much bad to say about it but hopefully this can be helpful to anyone visiting soon. We stayed in block 66 and with this being our first time here (we are not the type to repeat the same holiday, but we will return here) it was unknown to us that block 66 is situated in an ideal spot for a few reasons.. 1. Very close to the infinity pool, a lovely pool with sea views, with its bars and grill so you never go thirsty or hungry. Daily changes / specials from the grill and lots of variation if you get peckish or don’t overeat at the brekky buffets! 2. We had a bit of poor weather so the ability to nip to the pool and escape back to the room when it rained worked well. 3. Helios restaurant was on our doorstep too, adjacent to the infinity pool. We ate at Helios one night which was great but the best thing about Helios was the breakfasts. Easy to rock up and never had to wait more than 10 mins to be seated. Helios has both a vast buffet but also a menu to order if you choose. Also has a bar for everything from iced coffee to coffee or juices to mimosas!! (61-67 would all off the same benefits). The butlers are so helpful, on hand 08:00-23:00 to book you anything you want from restaurants to taxi service and more. On that note I recommend booking well in advance as places do get booked up, we tried to push a reservation back an hour 1 night unsuccessfully but hey ho. Shout out to Emilio and LuisO!! The resort is excellent and huge with plenty to do, so many good places to eat. We were here for enough time to chalk a lot of them off. Best marks go to la Boheme (French), sumptuori (Japanese), Tebtazione (Italian) and Bahia e brasa (Brazilian - Meat and Salad). So many more to try which is 1 of the reasons why we’d return. Activities wise we went to mini golf (don’t bother! Needs an update haha) and archery which was great (thanks Enrique!). Tips wise for anyone interested we gave a dollar every time we were served a drink which seemed to be what everyone else did. Also a good meal we left 5-10 depending on the service. The only place we didn’t tip was el gaucho (see below). Butlers (we had 2), we gave 25 USD each. Maids 20 USD. Pro’s 1. Food selection awesome. The small beach bars food is awesome, so much selection for when you’re peckish, the restaurants are top notch! 2. Bars everywhere for drinks (on tap!) 3. Butlers service very attentive. 4. Staff all amazing at the bars and restaurants, very helpful always. 5. Easy to walk but taxis are always available 6. Proximity for trips Cons 1. El gaucho was very disappointing after reading some good reviews. Rib eye was very chewy, I left over half of it as was just fat. Also both the normal and sweet potato wedges were undercooked. Safe to say if I was in England and “paying” I’d of complained and sent it back but they got away with it being all inclusive as easy to let slide. 2. Mini golf was dated so don’t bother unless it gets a facelift (like a few areas were getting while we were here) 3. Room lighting (for the girls ) wasn’t great for getting ready on an evening although there was a ring light on a small mirror it wasn’t very bright and my partner often left not knowing how her make up looked. 4. Refurb. We were warned prior to booking so no surprise here but plenty of areas are currently under refurb. Now nothing bothered us regards the work, no noticeable noise etc. however if this wasn’t going on the open areas (infinity pool, sea pool, palladium pool) would not be as crowded so when this works complete it will be even better. Whilst here we went to 2 excursions (booked online prior to visiting); Xenotes and Xplor - they were both amazing if you’re up for cenotes, zip wires and some exploring.. all collected and returned to the lobby without issues, great location for this as it seemed we were one of the last pickups and first drops offs on the way back! We will be back!

    Pleasant

I wish there was more food options and shops. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Jose over at Helios was a very attentive and sweet waiter. The vanilla sorbet at Helios was excellent, I could of ate whole bowl full. Some restaurants didn't open when the TRS app said they did.

    Perfect Place to Relax

The cabana was very clean and the butler service was great. Staff very friendly. We had better experiences with breakfast and lunch locations rather than dinner. The dinners were good just not great. The beach area was well groomed, the pools were well maintained, and utilizing the golf carts to get around the property was easy. Couple things to note about the cabana: 1. there was not a hand hold on the outside of the patio door, so once you went onto the patio, the door was very hard to open back up. 2. outdoor shower is nice, but beware the view through the latticework. We hung our towels there to provide more privacy. Hooks in the shower area would have been nice. 3. The AC shuts off when you leave the room, so don't be alarmed when you get back after a day at the beach when the room isn't as cool as it should be. These were not deal breakers for us though. Overall, it was a great stay. We did find out once we arrived, that the neighboring resort (White Sands) was under construction, so a lot of areas were blocked off. A little heads up would have been nice.
