Nov 11, 2024Fake low price “algotel”
If you book thru algotel, they don’t tell you you pay additional $49.05 in fees. They will get you to book with the lowest price, but the resort fee is not included, and they don’t mention that. Once you arrive, they charge you the additional fee.

Avoid. Run by scam artists and thieves
AVOID THIS SCAMMY PROPERTY. Managed by thieves. Any good points wiped out by the bad points. Playing the "Hotel Fees" scam after resort fees were prepaid. Claiming they were for Internet (which was barely functional) and the resort (which I did not use anyway, despite paying their stupid fee in advance). Security was more concerned when I raised my voice. Was tempted to call the police and press theft charges. This type of garbage is just bilking people who they never will see again. Was "promised" a refund that I doubt I will ever see. Maybe will give my company's attorneys a fun little task

This hotel needs a complete renovation. I need to request another room due to the bathroom was falling apart all bathroom faucets, and poor drainage of the toilet. The other one lack a closet, but not updated either. I expect more for the price that I paid. Give them 3 due to location and easy access to beach and other restaurants at waking distance and able to change the room. The Italian restaurant not recommended either. Our food was burned.

Poor ethic and solely Greed
We have book a one night reservation at this Hotel from 8/17-8/18. after my wife and I have tour the city and expend a lovely day at several places we decide to drive to the hotel at around 11pm. To our surprise at the desk we have been told that our reservation was sold and they walking us to another hotel. No way under no circumstances I would have my wife go trough that. and on top of that the young lady at the desk told me to contact my reservation agent so I can get a refund. Totally unacceptable. I call the Hotel several times trough the day like 12 or 15 times, no answers, no-one call us either, the phone line was under repairs that's what I was told, seriously No cell phone calls??? Unacceptable.....I work in Hospitality myself. well just be aware next time you make a reservation to that Hotel VENDANZA in PR.

My family and I stayed at this hotel 8/4/24-8/7/24 for 3 nights and 4 days to celebrate our daughter’s 8th birthday. I travel often for both leisure and work as I am a Flight Attendant, and I rely heavily on reviews from TripAdvisor, Expedia, and Yelp. Needless to say, before booking a stay at the Verdanza, I did my research and read quite a bit of reviews. The reviews for the hotel were very different. Those who were lucky enough to have an updated room were quite happy, while those who had the older rooms were quite unhappy with their experience. My husband and I decided to give it a try due to its proximity to the beach, and we hoped for the best. This was a HUGE mistake. Our room (616) was falling apart. Upon entering the room, it smelled musty and was humid, there was mold in the shower, the AC wasn’t working (even at 78 degrees the room was freezing and an engineer needed to replace the thermostat), our toilet didn’t flush, and there was a tiny trickle of water out of the bathroom sink. In addition to this, the beds were hard and uncomfortable while the pillows were flat as pancakes. (pictures attached for reference) The next morning we spoke to someone at the desk who agreed to change our room. We were moved down the hall, and although the toilet and AC did work, the room was also in disrepair. If you plan on going to the pool, keep in mind that there isn’t a sliver of shade out there. No umbrellas or respite from the sun, so you will scorch to death. It’s also important to note that with construction happening, we were woken up to drilling at 7am which is absolutely unacceptable. IF you’re looking for something short term near the beach, you may overlook the condition of the run down rooms, but if you’re looking for something nicer, you should definitely keep looking.
