Family holidays
Family trip of 11 days. The outdoor spaces are beautiful and clean. We liked the principle of 2 à la carte restaurants accessible without reservation and the Mexican restaurant every other day. The beach is small but very beautiful. On the other hand the staff is unpleasant, no smile especially at the different bars, there is mold in the bathroom and front door. On one of the rooms we had big problems getting water, see more water at all three times! The day of departure we had asked in the morning for a courtesy room, the reception confirmed that we did not need a reservation and that we came at the time we wanted! And surprised we had to wait 1 hour for this famous room, it was we who had to dislodge those who were in the room! The staff absolutely did not move a finger, even up to 30 minutes before leaving the hotel. After these adventures we accessed the room practically flooded without any towel! There is no rosé wine and a vain white limit water. The sun loungers on the beach are for the most part very damaged.

Small and Family like Resort!
Yohan, Anderson, and the entertainment crew made this experience one we will never forget! The staff made the aqua fit, poolside games, and evening entertainment so much fun! The resort is small but had all the amenities within walking distance. There was plenty of food, drinks and fun! We danced most of the nights away and enjoyed the beautiful turquoise beaches during the day! What a blast and great memories for our family. Special thanks to Yohan for his smile, charisma and welcoming personality that made everyone feel like family! That guy certainly deserves a promotion!

Good family experience and some things to improve.
The structure is amazing! The beach where it is located is wonderful! Most employees are very friendly and attentive, but it is interesting to always give a drawer, they are happy and help a lot to complement their salary, which according to me is not very good and they work a lot, but very much to make the business happen. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious, only the part of sheets and towels leave to be desired. The gentleman who stays in the omelet part in the morning is the best employee in our opinion, always happy and willing and extremely friendly. The cleaning of the rooms leave much to be desired, they clean the room and do not sweep even under the bed, the sheets and towels are old too, there is not that smell of cleaning in the room. We realized that there is a lack of management in the hotel, the air conditioning is central type and does not cool the right environment, the water drops to sewage, and it is very salty I don't know why. A cool thing and they don't disclose there is that they have a free transfer to take the guest to a small shop to buy souvenir and other stuff. Do not fall for the blow that the typical drinks that the staff sells in a stand inside the hotel can be boarded inside the aircraft in hand luggage, NOT, only shipped. They convince you the time of travel can take in hand luggage and you end up losing your money. The juices and alcoholic beverages there are horrible, all very bad, especially for the taste of the Brazilian who is used to drinking fruit juices and good beers and drinks. I saw people bringing their own vodka and whiskey to mix to the drinks, I think the hotel should put water inside, because the drinks do not taste pleasant. The risort could invest in entertainment for the children, such as: tobogganes, sliders, those toys that has in water parks, at least some. The pool is amazing! The people who stay there are well no idea, guard the pool chairs with personal objects from one day to another in the pool area not giving an opportunity for other people to use them and the hotel should avoid this kind of thing, but the lack of education and empathy of the human being is terrible, they should monitor this kind of situation.

Trip
Cons: We had to switch rooms two times. The air conditioning didn't work in the first room (building #1). The second room was dank, the safe was broken and we had ants in the bed (building #4). The third and finally room was nice and had a beautiful pool view. The air conditioning was better but still not great. If we had started with the pool view room I would have given a 3 rating. The convenience store there was extremely expensive and we were charge $16 usd to use the safe. It was hard to get a place on the beach or pool with shade due to lack of shady spots. You had to be up before 6am to get a shady spot and even at that time the available spots were minimal. We were offered a free shuttle to a store in town to buy souvineers and it was really expensive. When we went to monkeyland they had the same souvineers for 1/2 the price. Pros: The grounds were very pretty. The staff were all very friendly. The food was pretty good. The beach was beautiful and very clean. Our trip rep was very helpful in planning our excursion to monkeyland and zipling. The transportation was good.

Not for everyone...
We arrived from this hotel. We were disappointed. Usually, we're not too difficult. We have often stayed in aging hotels, as long as it is clean and everything is functional, it is ok for us. But as soon as we arrived, we were given a room whose air conditioner was not working, imagine, it is 10pm, it is at least 28-29 degrees in the room and of course no way to change until the next day... At least the 2nd room assigned was ok. I think the hotel is aware of the air conditioning problems but to fill the hotel, they still book guests even if it means changing rooms the next day. After losing part of our 1st day adjusting the change of room, it is time to enjoy the beach but no chair available on the beach or around the pool. The trick to getting access to it is that you have to get up before 7:00 and put our towels on the sun loungers. There are even people who leave things on their chairs the day before to book them for the next day.... I do not understand that there is no hotel policy regarding this kind of practice. It's very frustrating to be forced to wake up so early when you're on vacation... That being said, there are also good points. The cleanliness of the place is impeccable, the food at the buffet is excellent and very varied (except for the not very good wine) but it is really a self-service. No one serves us water or wine at the table. On the bright side, you don't have to tip. But we can still leave one at the entrance of the dining room in a container for that purpose, Dominicans like it. Yes too, the gardens are beautiful, the beach is very beautiful and the sea is warm.
