Amezing place to be...highly recommendet! I will visit again.
I am very pleased to recommend Viva Maya by Wyndham as a best resort I been so far: Extremely clean, beautiful beach, excellent food and very professional and pleasant service. Everyone was helpful and very nice. My special thanks to Jesus, who take care of my my luggage. As a professional Property Manager I am amazed! Bravo! I wish we here in Canada have more ecological consciousness. I am amazed by Mexican People awareness of how our actions effect the environment. No plastic. This resort made a big changes that benefit the natural world around us. I am very grateful for being there. Thank You All! PM Zlata Ana, Vancouver, Canada.

Really nice hotell but terrible food
The hotell is really nice - nice and clean rooms, good service, nice surroundings, great café and bar. Breakfast is really good with a lot of choices. But lunch and dinner buffé is really bad. I got sick of chicken one time, so do not eat it again. Even the a la carte restaurants can serve tasteless food. But yesterday it was ok at the Mexican one. I am not an all inclusive fan, and will never return.

Avoid the filter water
This is a nice resort in a lovely location. We weren't expecting much for what we'd paid so when we arrived we were surprised by how nice it was. Everything is kept so clean. The staff are friendly and work very hard. There is a good variety of drinks at the bars and coffee shop. I feel that allowing guests to pour their own beer and wine like at some other resorts would reduce queueing, as sometimes we waited ages. There was a good variety of food and as a fussy eater, I always manged to find something. The entertainment during the day is great and the staff work hard. There are alot of positives. What has let this holiday down is that 11 of us ended up with sickness and diarrhoea. Some of us over there, which the staff are aware of and others in the party on the way home. It has made us very unwell. The freshness and food hygiene all seemed OK. I have never used a filtered water system abroad before so am wondering if that has caused an issue? In every resort I have stayed in bottle water has been used. I have never been so ill abroad before as I was at the end of this holiday. I feel that the water system needs to be looked at and if you are going I would suggest buying bottle water. There are shops across the road or can get a taxi to walmart.

Donna in Mexico
The entertainment team is superb Lau Caro Lua Leo Brandon Jesus Alejandro . They put on a comedy show on Thanksgiving and was the best ever since I have been coming from 2009. I will never forget that. The dancers are hard working putting on different shows each night. Lener has joined the trapeze team and dances and does one heck of a job. Everyone does a super job here. We renewed our contract 2 years and will never regret it. The food is superb. I have had 2 friends come last year and they said they were treated like Queens. First time for the Xmss decorations and tree lighting show was excellent. A⁰ll the staff remember you from year to year from name and I really like that. The members rooms are excellent that is the only place we stay. Cocobongo guy is Alexis he is very friendly and helpfull

Filtered Water ???
We arrived here and were very pleased with choice of hotel given budget Spotlessly clean& comfortable lovely beds towels Enough space in bedrooms . Food was a vast choice all nicely presented. Speciality restaurants were OK too . Staff excellent customer service. No provision to dry clothes other than using laundry service . We took a portable line to swill things out Rooms were shady not much sun to dry anything. Buffet restaurant involves walking up to ramps and 6 stairs if mobility issues I found it easier to go via stairs from reception. Beach pool area really need another toilet facilities. As the one in use was nearer trapeze entertainment. A jug is provided in room to use a filter water machine in corridor . As no to using there water . Sadly our last few days 6 adults 5 children we became ill sickness and diarrhoea. We were quite poorly and for a few of us it carried on throughout flight until arriving home I have been 3 times to Mexico also Jamaica Aruba Dominican Republic and always had bottled water never ever experiencing this . We are not sure what caused it ?? Filtered water is the only difference from other places visited. I would be wary about booking baring this in mind as we are all cautious in food choices and did not eat anything unusual to cause this . Hygeine seemed very good there We are familiar with Wyndham chain as stayed in Florida twice It was a disappointment to feel so very ill and still recovering
